Is really iphone 3G... moreFor the first, Iphone is a low-end phone spec-wise...
And for the second, it costs about $199 + $30*24, which is far above anything else. Better buy a N97, Omnia HD or Satio, anything with Symbian kills this not only price wise, but also quality wise.

There is completly nothing new here. Old design, old features and old performance compared to the competitors as well as the older Iphone 3G itself. They could at least not make an identical design with the older model, now noone will see any difference between them, and there's no point of buying one. A glowing Apple would at least pleas the fans...

*Never* compare this *TOY* with Nokia N97! The cpu speed is not a pbm if the OS run sligtly with all programs.
I dont know why someone says that iPhone is a smartphone. Symbian, Android, Windows Mobile, Web OS, Linux Mobile, are all multitask. Only this sh**t Mac OS X Mobile from Apple is non multitask, and u call the iPhone 3Gs a concurrent of N97! Lool let me laugh. All that've impressioned me on iPhone is his interface and his browser Safari. Without that... i prefer let my son play with it! Loool Nokia win again... RIP iPhone...

WoW a compass. So when your kidnapped and taken to a undisclosed location and abandened with nothing but your iphone, left to the will of nature you can atleast find out what direction your facing and maybe how to get home I mean why would you wanna call anyone,police family, friends. Don't even worry bout sending emails or messages as long as you have your trusty ipone 3gs compass that's all you need to sustain your life... Maybe they should get Bear Grills to endorse this one...

what about the processor? and the price tag in egypt or other countries but the US??? and what about the AMOLED screen u have been talkin about???? actually, am depressed, i dont feel big difference between 3G and 3GS :S:S:S

it still lacks VIDEO CALL capabilities..
there is no reason should i buy this crap "3G" ware..
and in the case of Google Maps for GPS function,
there are still missing info here in our country..
just my insights... :P

Guys, lets take things in perspective: When the iphone was launched it was ahead of the rest in some areas but now its wiped out: 3G S hardly brings anything new
i)At launch, the 3G prob the best screen (LCD 3.5 in 320x480pxl) beaten by 3.5 -3.7 inch OLEDs n 640x360pxels - N97, Idou, OmniaHD etc common this yr.
ii)Multi-touch, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Scratch-resistants, Ambient sensors amongst main reasons ppl bought original iphone. These features are now common at the higher end (Omnia,Idou,keyboard-N97) except for multi-touch, although competition getting close- new interfaces +softwares +faster, overclocked processors by rivals
iii) Apple store now has some competition now compared to no competition last year in the mobile segment. Given the number of Nokias, Sony,Samsung LG handsets in circulation this could impact the sales of apple store.
Iv) Amazingly 3G S improved battery life falls short of its key rivals- N97 and Omnia HD in most areas!!! (check Specs)
Personally, the only thing i see is the 3G S may faster than its rivals but thats about it! Its losing in nearly all areas.
