upgrade took me about 5 hours depending on the speed of your internet...software is about 774MB
just leave everything to itunes and it will do everything for your including backup of all the contents of your phone (contacts,calendar entries,installed apps including game progress)
itunes version should be the latest (i think its version 10.5.1 if i'm not mistaken) to be able to upgrade to iOS5...if you don't have the latest version itunes will also prompt you to install it first....as i have said just leave it up to itunes and it will do everything for you...cheers.

ho guys iphone 4s is with a few features better than iphone 4 but its the same design and all its better for you to opt for iphone 4 because with the release of iphone 4s the prices of iphone 4 will get lower so go iphone 4 !!!!

mak, 13 Oct 2011please help...my iPhone4 crushed after upgrading to iOS5...... morebest thing to do is reconnect it back to iTunes and undo and redo everything but for peace sakes just leave It alone and let it sync and finish the work it will reboot and work without any help once you apply and sync it oh and remember to back up your files as well as finish up all your previous downloads before you start,
mine got a bit weird as the apple server was down 2 days ago but I just disconnected it, rebooted the notebook the started again the following day BOY! this iOS5 totally changes my perspection of the working manners of my gf's iPod 4g and my iPhone4 it is 100% better with the with it's processor via the iOS5 compared to what it was when I first got it with the crummy old iOS 4.2, if that's how good the iPhone 4s is I am DEFINETLY, DEFINETLY! getting another one when my phone is up for an upgrade next yr maybe there might be an iPhone 6 by July on 3 network by then lol
p.s that guy left a legacy for everyone to enjoy when he died, RIP mr apple inventor
