If all you're after is a functional phone to make and receive calls and SMSs keep away from this phone at all costs. The same applies for all smart phones. They are just expensive toys and make normal phone usage very frustrating.
Over the last two years I have gone through 4 Blackberrys and 2 iPhones. They were given to me for free by my employer and for the sake of the sanctity of my soul I opted to give them up. The sense of relief and freedom I have now is indescribable. I can now send messages on my Nokia 1200 without having to go through a labyrinth of functions, losing my way in the process and forgetting what I was doing in the first place. I'll say one thing for the iPhone. It is almost impossible to destroy. In a fit of desperation I slammed it against the wall, forced my entire weight (102 kgs) upon it from a height of 1 metre and the phone emerged from this onslaught unscathed. The Blackberry, subjected to the same violent fury had to be swept up.
The morale is that if it is a camera you want buy it from Canon or Nikon or people who make cameras. If you want a music player get a dedicated player and yes, you probably guessed that you can get radio transmissions on the radio.
Forget about the convenience of e-mails. They hardly ever work overseas. They tend to flock in once you step off the plane back home. Furthermore, these phones are usually replaced by upgrades every three minutes which is hardly what the average person spending EUR850 wants. They jam at sporadic intervals and you cannot distance yourself from a wall plug for more than 5 minutes because that is just about how long the battery lasts.
Finally, if you had to ignore those people who THINK they understand how these phones work, there is absolutely no one out there who can provide solutions to problems short of advising you to switch off and switch on again. Sorry for the diatribe guys. It's not that I don't have time to waste with these phones. On the contrary, I have plenty of time to waste but this is not the way I want to waste it.

N8=Superb camera and cam app, 4life free navigation, unlocked phone 35-40% cheaper, ww warranty etc etc
