Partha, 12 Oct 2010If you have read the Galaxy S vs iPhone 4 Collision course,... moreYou should know that in the Galaxy S vs iPhone 4 collision course, what you just said will fall on deaf ears 99% of the time. Why? The buyers are from different groups. A person who would buy an iPhone would buy it not based on the reasons for buying an Android.

Android users tend to look at features, and prefer to tinker, customise etc. (I am just generalising). An iPhone buyer prefers to enjoy the features, and have things ready for them. Is there anything wrong in either case? Not really.

Easiest comparison, two car buyers. One wants a manual car, because he feels that you get better 'feel' for driving. The other buyer, wants an automatic, because it will be used for commuting, and its less hassle in traffic jam.

The manual car buyer would be annoyed by the other driver, saying "but its so much less hassle!" and the automatic buyer would be so annoyed by the "But you get so much more feel!" argument, thinking about the traffic jams lol.

Now, the more interesting battle to look out for will be the WP7 Android war. Same manufacturers, same group of customers, same price points. Android will tout more features, WP7 will tout superior gaming, polish etc.

Android users, prepare for your new annoyance for 2011... the WP7 fanboy!

As you see Galaxy S scored pretty well, winning over iPhone 4 by a margin. The selling point of iPhone 4 is its UI and the app store, however iPhone is popular among the Americans, but Samsung and Nokia has a grip over the entire globe. iPhone 4 offers 3D games with the gyro sensor, that's definitely a treat, but that might not be the whole concern of the buyer, not everybody plays games. App store of iPhone may have lots of apps but the number of free apps are minimal whereas in the Android market half of the apps are free. Moreover with iPhone you are probably under the control of a dictator(dependency on iTunes). This is where the price comes in. In my country iPhone 4(factory unlocked) 16GB-80k whereas Galaxy S(sim-free)-50k. So paying so much less for a phone and getting similar functions as iPhone 4 + freedom, that definately earns the name of iPhone killer. There is no wannabe in the field of technology. If a company makes something good then other companies will definately try to make similar or better things and provide it in lower price.

Great phone, had smartphones for years and this is good, excellent processor. struggled with the firmware update but managed to do this manually to OS4.1. Still struggling with bluetooth and using it as a modem. overall, a great phone, Apple is THE processing company by far in terms of speed, the faster the better. This phone is the M3 in smartphones.

[deleted post]How come a ten inch iPad costs less than a seven inch Samsung Galaxy Tab?

Seen how much the Galaxy Tab accessories cost?

                    $100 for a stylus, what a joke.

Samsung is even more "overpriced" than Apple.

Nokia better do something, WP7 is now coming as well, it's going to lose even more market share. Nokia has a grip in the dumbphone market which is massive, but losing in the smartphone war will damage it's reputation and mindshare.

Until I read a newspaper article announcing the next "N8 killer" we all know who the industry sees as the market leader. As of today, I'm still reading about iPhone killer as well as iPad killer.

Well... moreI'm sure most of us here know that the iPhone will outsell the Nokia N8. would you congratulate iPhone then? Or will you be selective in who you congratulate? In any case it's not Apple that Nokia should worry about.

Apple will be helped by the emergence of WP7, who will take away market share of Android, Symbian and Blackberry.
