I have been looking for a new phone these past few days and have narrowed it to 3 different models. I just have one question about iPhones, if I buy it unlocked to use in Mexico and then update the phone to iOS 4.0 (in case I buy a 3GS) will it be locked again? I don't want to jailbreak it but I do want it unlocked so I can use my SIM in it. Or, get a microSIM from my carrier. The iPad and iPhone 4 use the same kind of SIM right?

Iphone 4 is selling bucketloads and it's the best h/set by miles.
I made a comment on here about the Nokia handsets exploding in peoples pockets well if you type (Nokia 1209 exploding) in google you will see for yourself.
That's how good Nokia is no wonder they are going deep under.
Guys a new Iphone is coming out xmas time watch out :-) and the anthenna problem will also be fixed on the white iphone4.
We need some of you guys to clear the iphone 4 stock which O2 has though so we can get the new iphone 4 models on the shelves asap.
There's not many left so go get the wonderful h/set its still the best out there and the signal doesn't really effect us in the UK.

take for example microsoft vista vs apple leopard
vista at the maximum got a luke warm response but apple was appreciated but vista dominated each n every market n sales were on an all tym high compared 2 leopard which could not manage a mere 3 percent market...
Secondly symbian even today has d maximum share of users way ahead of its many counterparts...

And no, not ev... moreok mate well i work for vodafone and i can asure you there not sold out at the min and no one cares about stats. its overpriced and lacks features. if it didnt have good apps or have apple write on the front of it you wouldnt of give it a second look and if your happy to pay 600 pound for something that has no longer got garuntee (iphone4). then good for you CHAV

And here goes the fanboism on ALL sides, not just apple sides.
okay. I've owned an iPhone 4 for a short period okay. Owned Samsung Galaxy S as well, plus a Desire. (my family are nerdy, okay).
The iPhone is a wonderful smartphone for the normal person, who isn't all that bothered about it being open source, or heavily customisable yadda yadda yadda. baring the Ominous antennagate incident, the iPhones are well made, solid and premium handsets with a powerful yet easy to use smartphone system. Its the epitome of simplicity with hellova lot of firepower.
Android, I think, has far more opportunity for power and user. Its more open, its more free, the app store has a higher proportion of non-paid apps. need i go on. it also allows the manufacturer to tailor it to your needs. need a social networking phone? Buy a motoblur or a Sense loaded phone. need a multimedia? buy a Galaxy of some variation. its all about choices. Android gives you choices. iOS gives it on a plate and says "eat it, its great" and no doubt, it is. Android gives you the menu and says "hey, these all great cause they are all different variations of the same thing" and they are.
Android is a little bit nerdy, but ultimately customisable if you put the effort in. iOS is simple and effective for the casual users

the iphone 4 is a top class peice of tech i have one myself there are other top spec phones out there i.e. the galaxy s yeah but if u wanna talk about them go and post it on the galaxy s page not the iphone 4 page!!
