Whoopi Goldberg's may have highly conductive hands.
From it saw, didn't sound like she was careful when when holding it right, or have clean hands

I always wait for my phone decisions from IT Gurus like Whoopi Goldberg. Don't disturb me for the next two hours guys, I'll be busy deciphering the inner messages our alien lords left us in Sister Act 2.

xxxxxx , 21 Jul 2010ConsumerReports.org say it's no good & that's that. But actual iphone4 users it's all good. And more and more users are getting the iphone4.
I respect Consumer Reports decision on not recommending the iphone4 based on their criteria, but the actual consumers still has the final say.

xxxxxx , 21 Jul 2010ConsumerReports.org say it's no good & that's that. Not everyone relies on Consumer Reports. Not everyone even relies on gsmarena. If they did, Apple would be thankful if they sold 300, let alone over 3,000,000.
Do you do everything a website tells you to? Or do you make your own decisions? And I thought Apple fans were supposed to be sheep?
Cmon haters, the inconsistencies are beginning to show. Thought you standardized your responses at the anti Apple meetings lol

All phones have weaknesses. Motorola Droid X now has screen flickering issues.
Recall! This is an outrage! We want blood!
Yawn, not even making headlines, cos nobody really cares.

As time progresses, the truth will eventually be known anyway. iPhone 4 works perfectly well. Over 3 million people already telling friends and family how much they enjoy their iPhone 4.
It was the same with the iPad, suddenly not much news. Thought it was plagued by problems? How come so calm all of a sudden. Media likes to play up stuff that's why.

The strategy he use comes from Zen Buddhism. So call “clouding.” If you sent out the following messages:
1. All mobile phones have this problem.
2. Our mobile phone does not have this problem.
These two statements cannot both be true. Well, both of them. Now all he have to do is reach out with some kind of certainty, and people will latch onto it. It’s the oldest trick in the marketing book.
But wait! Flash news!
Whoopi Goldberg smashes up her iPhone 4!

Not all rich like Whoopi. Actually more than 51.000 Whoopies decide not to smash but to return their iPhones and take money back!
Wondering why? Must be iHaters! Apple is Unique, Glorious, Wonderful, Brilliant, Amazing, WoooW!

like very low resistance hands or conductive skin ratios
The phone works perfect and there are no drop in signals with a clean hand and holding it properly.
This really is crazy. Apple has stated there is no issue

I have had nothing but iphones since they were first released. I refer to my iphone as the "external hard drive to my brain". I rely heavily on my iphone everyday for making calls, surfing the net, getting to my appointments on time, and even entertaining my children in waiting rooms. Sadly, I must admit that I HAD an iphone 4 for about a week and had to return it yesterday. Despite downloading the recent software upgrade, my iphone 4 was still not able to make calls that all of my other iphones made routinely in the past. And, forget about the "don't hold it that way" theory. I tried allowing it to balance on the palm of my hand. I tried placing it on the seat next to me. I tried everything I could think of to make it work. Finally, I had to ask someone if I could use their Blackberry to make my call :0( Despite the iphone 4 frustration, I'm still a diehard fan of the iphones. I ended up buying another 3Gs. Maybe iphone 4 will have all the bugs worked out by the time I need to replace my 3Gs...

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2010You said because of the antenna design this is why its the ... moreYet the iphone4 is still thinner than the nokia e73. Maybe not by much, but what do you think will happen if you try to squeeze in the hardware requirements of the iphone into your e73? Do you think that your e73 would still be able to maintain it's slim figure with its internal antenna?
Let's try squeezing in these features to your e73 that requires hardware space.
- 720p hd recording at 30fps
- retina display resolution
- gyroscope
- 3.5 display
- 32gb internal memory
- 512mb ram
- 1gz processor
- proximity sensor
- backlight camera technology
- dual mics
Yes. Put all of those features in the e73 and let's see if the e73 can still maintain its slim profile. Not intending to bash your e73 here. I just want to make a point that the iphone4 has way more higher hardware demands than the e73, yet it's able to be slimmer, thx to the external antenna design.
As for its reception, it's already getting a lot of impressive reviews, although they haven't really compared it with others (minus touching that black strip of course). Regardless, it is a significant improvement from the 3gs, and that is reason enough to be happy.
