man, 17 Jul 2010yes but the average user doesnt pay 800 euros for a phone.€800 a bit pricey no? Got mine for €590 from UK, unlocked. You can even claim VAT refund if you are a tourist, making it cheaper.

features that other can only dream about?now that was a good laught.at half the price you can get more features from any other company.and that is a fact.if you dont belieave me just compare the phone with others.you can do that on this site.let me just say some of the features that the iphone lacks.no multitasking, lame camera(5mp is spitt in your face for that money) no videocall, no radio, no video projector, no fm transmiter, usles BlueTooth, the screen is nice but its still a TFT, no stereo speakers, no memory card, no xenon, no mass storage option for usb cable, no signal if you hold your phone in the normal way, and the worst thing is that apple treat theyr customers like shitt(""its not our problem you dont know how to hold the phone")now tell me where are those dreamy features?i like the phone but im not a idiot to pay that much for features the other people have on theyr 250 euro phones.any flagship of any other company has more features for less the money.just look you have to be blind not to see that

The iPhone 4 is without doubt one of the most beautiful smartphones full of technology on the market right now, with features that others can only dream about. You will not regret it one bit. It gets my heartiest approval.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2010Look y'all, I understand that there are annoying Apple hate... moreThe iPhone 4 is an outstanding piece of kit - they wouldnt have sold so many if it wasnt. But.. In my experiance it DOES have issues with the antenna, I probably drop about 1 in 3 calls without using my case. Also the proximity sensor is nowhere near as good as on previous iPhone models although the next software update will address that.
If you are happy to use your iPhone in a free case (supplied by Apple) then I would say you can't go far wrong. If you have never used an iPhone before and your not really too bothered about the (very slightly) increased screen res then the Samsung Galaxy S maybe better for you.
Personally, having had an iPhone before, I cant see myself switching to something else anytime soon. Even with its issues, I have the piece of mind of knowing should anything ever go wrong with my phone, Apple will always go above and beyond to help - Whether that means switching it for a brand new handset at any point in its life (for a fixed fee, £139 in UK I think) or having the conveniance of walking into a retail store and having a genious talk me through something for free.

[deleted post]The only stupid azz people around here is people who fail to understand that we have a freedom of choice. Ain't nothing wrong with owning an Iphone if one's happy with it. If there are better phones than the Iphone then the people who realise it will go and buy those phones.
To some people this is it, this is the ultimate in mobile phones, who's to say they are wrong coz every argument iphone haters throw up the same can seen on other platforms as well. Let's face it there ain't that many better looking phones out there and that is the first point of attraction for average users who out numbers enthusiasts like us by far. Average users are not bothered about what CPU or how much RAM or Super Amoled or Retna etc, they just want a phone that they can show off and most are quite willing to compromise a lot for the fact that the iphone has better quality apps than any other platform out there. I do a lot of voluntary work and I have seen a lot of youngsters with iphones and yes it's all about that cool app, problem is most of them cool apps are over in itunes.
So folks let it be, go and show some support for you preferred platform.

T-MOBILE US has week signal and little coverage for 3G. Then it remains just AT&T network which is overloaded. It was no choice.

In a company as Apple there are many, many layers in management and someone lied about its tests to keep his/her job and faked quality reports. The production rolled out and it was too late to correct the defect. Such situation is common in large corporations, see Toyota's brakes defect.

But I'm also sure that iPhone's buyers doesn't even check iPhone's or other phones' performance on this web site. They are usually in US and are used with defective products for high price. It is just OK to have defects for $200 when you get $100,000-$200,000/yr family income. Each 6 months they can buy other phone and keep about 2-4 cell phones, 2-3 cars.

I think and feel that Steve Jobs is the best marketing individual in this planet .... you can check his antenna press conference on 16th July 2010 in Apple site ...

1st, he asked the users not to grip the phone in such a way ....

2nd, he tried to change physics by SW update
I guess if there will be no coverage, but using updated SW -> it shows good signal coverage. I guess it would make Apples relationship worst with AT&T, as end customer will point the finger to AT&T then. And the idea was skipped.

3rd, today in the press conference he was proving that every Smartphones have weak spot, like iphone 4 ...

http://www.apple.com/antenna/ ..... comparing with Blackberry Bold 9700, HTC .. and Samsung smartphone ... anyway none of the smartphones (3 NOKIA models, 4 Blackberry models, One Samsung) in my home have got the trouble in a way what was showed in the video.

                                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKIcaejkpD4 .... iphone antenna song … it’s cool

4th, today he provided a solution to use a bumper (or casing) ... it makes more sense now.

That’s for sure; he will not mention that the problem is related with the aggressive industrial design for such a complicated wireless device (with 7 or 8 radio) -> using phone outer case or structure metal as antenna without any non-conductive material coating. iphone 4 antenna simply changes its physical length when gripping on the weak spot as human body is not like insulator. Therefore antenna has got different resonance frequency than what it should get. This is very simple

And for this, Apple doesn’t need 18 antenna scientists/engineers with PhD degree and 100 million worth of antenna chambers.

The data or statistics what he provided today -> those sound nice, but not close to reality! He is simply making us fool ...

Even if people were totally uninformed, and blindly following, they would still be unhappy if the antenna kept dropping their calls, no matter how loyal an Apple fan. After all, they could always buy an iPhone 3GS. However, notice what's happened? A full 3 weeks since launch, a whole lot of noise in the media.. but... no mass returns.

People seem to forget why Apple fans are bashed. They are actually more sensitive to quality, and are the type who only go for the best things that they can. Apple fans are the first to complain to Apple, when they are unhappy about a product from Apple.

It is therefore illogical to that despite all the media hoopla about the antenna issue, there has been no mass returns. Rather, the phone has sold over 3 million, and this has only been the limited release. The phone hasn't even been released to the whole world yet.

Why no mass returns? The iPhone 4 is fine, and performs well that's why.
