If I bought a Samsung phone and I really liked it, but it has some issues that came with it. I would first find out what's causing those issues. Is it only me, or is it a common issue. Read reviews and articles about it. Then I would find out how to deal with it and if there are any fix to the issues so I can workaround it. If it's workable for me, I will keep it, if not, then I may have to return it and get something else.

That's exactly how I dealt with my iphone4. I got a goodlooking case for it, and I no longer experience that death grip issue. Problem solved. I am now very happy with my iphone4. But how come you're the one who's problematic? Lol.

jack!, 14 Jul 2010I must agree Apple is so loyal to their clients, that they ... moreAs Steve said, it is a fact of life that every cell phone would have a vulnerable spot. There are videos on youtube to show this. And those videos were posted even before the iphone4 was released. But of course no one made a big deal of it like they donwith the iphone. It's a decision that they made to place the antenna at that unstrategic location. It's either the users can deal with it or not. If you can't, then return it for a full refund. And who are you to say we're stupid to keep our iphones? Why are you so affected by our decision to keep our iphones? Can it be that you're the stupid one? Yes, they might have placed the antenna unstrategically, but we all know as well that by getting a case, that issue is pretty much non existent, and we can hold our iphones however way we want and enjoy the other awesome features that it has. So why are you problematic about our dealings with our iphones?

Tommy, 14 Jul 2010when iphone came out first , it was revolosion in terms of ... moreIts called personal choice.

Some people go for the latest technology, some people go for design, and yes.. some people go for what brand they think makes them feel cool. Some people go on friend's recommendation, some go on websites and read reviews, some read good reviews and make informed decisions, some read stupid troll comments and make uninformed decisions, some go for expensive phones to show off. Some go for best value for money. Some go for innovation, some go for user experience.

Your choice is yours, and will not be the same for everybody. Some will buy iPhone, and some will buy Android, some will buy Blackberry. In fact, some will buy Huawei, as it has dual sim phones, which no Android or iPhone has at the moment. (By the way I was eyeing the DSTL1, which looks promising)

Be happy with your choice, and let people be happy with theirs. This is the iPhone section. Naturally people will come here for information. As human beings, lets be honest with our opinions. People appreciate that, whether it is for or against something.

If you have had a bad experience with an iPhone, by all means share the experience, but lets do it to add value to the discussion. There are guidelines laid down by GSMArena, lets try and stick to them.

when iphone came out first , it was revolosion in terms of technology in the mobile phone, and gratually improved and up until 3gs it was by far better than anything else in the market.
BUT now they have left behind , what is the break through in iphone 4? can some one tell me apart from bit of screen, camera, multifunction what else this phone can do which would be vastly different to 3gs or any other top brand phone in the market? they have step backward, it is a joke don't hold your phone with the left hand!!what a disaster.
so please come to terms with it that iphone 4 has nothing new or much to offer compare to competision, go and check what smart phone can do now days, broden your mind, and don't stick with something which really stuck in the mud, sadly its the case. I am not going to name any phone here, but just check who is winning the rating! and ask your self why?
good luck I hope you all weak up one day.

Will you honestly keep it or would you rather take it back?

If one likes a thing so much, take it back exchange for the same if you want and try again, any problems then yes or no. Then decide from there!

Come on! One would think to give people good advice but clearly, I need to rather tell this to an ape, I think they'd make more sense of it!

Believe me when I say, I feel sorry for you being in such denial. But anyhow, apple made a big mistake, and cant admit it. "Reality" They cant admit it, due to the consequences that will follow as explained so much will return the phone! Except you of course! :-)

That is why I said take it back if you really like it so much, after this 30 days and you still have yours, do you think they will offer you a full refund? No, sorry, just another exchange on one that will last yet just another, what 6 months maybe luckily a year? And so the circle will continue until you are really lucky and santa thinks you deserve one that actually functions properly!

                    Merry Christmas!

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2010What the haters, Apple competitors, and even the media have... moreI must agree Apple is so loyal to their clients, that they believe their customers are stupid enough to buy the product, in which they knew, had an antenna problem! And many were stupid enough to have kept their iPhone 4's. Quite clearly, the people still owning their phones are so wanting to be seen with the "Latest Must Have" item that half of the world will think: "My word, that person was still stupid enough to keep that faulty phone!"

So yes apple is very loyal to their customers, aren't they?
The thing that gets me most is that people who actually has this problem still does not want to wake up and take the thing back, if everybody does that they will have to fix this thing, but then again what is the changes of you re buying someone else's pre-owned phone?? That is another thing that will happen now!

So make sure if anyone ever decides to re-buy this phone, get it in white!!!!!

                      Good Luck!

We have a choice my friend. Evaluate how you use your device. Learn the pros and cons of a device, and then choose the one whose issues you can deal with much better.

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2010Lie? What did Steve lie about? He may have been blunt wit... moreIt is the fact that Steve Jobs knew about the antenna problem, and they kept it all under wraps, Why do you think they designed the iPhone bumper? For sheer pleasure, no, to cover the antenna!

I am still a apple fan, but slowly and surely I'm pulling away, they are really crappy with some things and they cover it all up. Look at the iPod classic, even that has been changed, the sensor of the click wheel is far less sensitively build, you cant cover it with anything not even invisible shield then track wheel does not work, properly!

People get so sucked into the apple phenomenon that they cant actually admit to others and themselves that apple is starting to falter.

Open your eyes people, if you pay that much for a item would you not expect to have it 100% working condition? ? ? ?

Apple is to chicken also to admit that they made a mistake, cause they know by doing this thousands of people will storm back for an exchange or refund, THINK ABOUT IT, it makes perfect sense!
                              Get real!

soon apple will let you pair your iphones with other phones via bluetooth and let you set your own ringtones, but the you will have to wait 5 to 10 years, some hope yet. Buy an HTC these features are already availible.

There really is a night and day difference between comments posted from an iphone user versus iphone antagonists. From the choice of words, to the construction of sentences, to the train of thoughts, to the presentation of links to support findings.

Apple for example, did not invent the MP3 player, but the iPod made it accessible to many people, with some innovation along the way.

It is never only about new technology, or the latest or greatest when it comes to Apple. Rather, they bring together some new or existing technology, design, and user interface that creates a nice user experience.

This is obviously not for everyone. Some people like things to be laid out, for them to use in an easy manner, without having to always think about what's going on underneath. At the same time, there are those who like to tinker, and to be able to have full control of their devices.

Nothing wrong with either, just that different people, are different. Thus, differences in preferences when it comes to devices.

Engadget has posted a very comprehensive review of the antenna issue.

                                        http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/13/yes-the-iphone-4-is-broken-no-the-iphone-4-is-not-broken/

Actually, almost everything that's been said by everyone here, is mentioned in this article.

Key points which are important in my opinion:

                                        1. Antenna issue is there, but real world tests indicate that performance is as good, if not better than most phones.
                                        2. There have been no mass returns, meaning either too few are affected enough for it to be an issue, or it is not really an issue

                                        My experience matches the writer's.
