At the moment its best just to get or stick with the 3Gs with ios4. Its the closest thing to a working iPhone4...

iTrash, that is really not doing it a justice, it should be called irubish, i return mine today, what a joke this phone is , iphone gone backward not forward, and Stevey should be looking for the new job next year, iphone would have the first reality hitting them soon, and that is irubbished FAILED,
WOW guys don't let iclone take over your life while there are many many many good phone out there, like Samsung wave.

got my iphone 3 days ago, had a 3gs before, this is a total disaster for iphone, the reception drops as soon as I touch the edge with left hand, may be I should use a string to put it round my neck to carry it!!! the yellow spots growing and getting worse and not better!! I was shocked by what I was experiencing I am going to sue iTrash now, for wasting my time, and my money, they say you can return it, but its more than that, they shoudl accept the liability, and pay for peoples time which has been wasited. I am now switching to Wave, great phone and may be even more powerful than iTrash. Those of you hoping to get this phone, I would think about it twice again, I was a big fan of iphone but not anymore.
DON'T BUY THIS iTrash if you have a respect for yourself and your brain.

Signal reception and yellow spots issue can't be solved by firmware upgrade. Its a hardware problem. IPhone is a very bad device indeed. Can't make a call, no flash, no multitasking... Then what is the use of it??
Its just a useless overpriced device with no functionality..

The good:
- it's faster
- even better touch response
- awesome display
- one of the best camera for photos
- the best camera for hd video recording
- the most beautiful design
- improved battery life
- improved reception
- better call quality
- improved speaker
Bad side:
- signal bars drop when you cover black strip on the lower left side of the phone (can be fixed with a bumper, or simply avoid gripping that are, which I have honestly gotten used to)
- yellow spots/streak (caused by the adhesive they used. Although it's slowly dissapearing now)
- it does have proximity sensor issues (although I haven't dropped a call yet, but I do notice the screen on)
- web page rendering issues. It messes up when I post a comment in here on landscape mode. I keep switching it to portrait then back to landscape to realign.
Even with those issues, it's still a stable and awesome device. It's good qualities certainly overpowers its downside. I'm just hoping that Apple fixes those issues very soon. This is really a great device.

Own a UK set. Didn't observe any yellow dots on LCD nor encounter any signal drop when holding iPhone with left hand.

Latest news, apple is retrieving their iphone 4 due to the yellow spot and some connectivity problem that is still unsolvable and is mainly causes by hardware problem. the 17million unit buyer will get full money return by going back to apple store or their network provider that sold them the phone.

Apple iPhone is a Triband 1900 mhz phone and it can certainly be used in UK. There no specific version for this phone, it is manufactured as 1900 mhz all over the Globe. But make sure that your phone is Network Unlocked from your service provider to use a different sim card in it.

Lloyd please tell me something.how do you backup those words: "the best smartphone?" why?just look at any other brand and you will see phones with double the feature and half the price and that was from the iphone 2g and there are still a lot of morons who buy it.sure it has the best UI for touchscreen but to pay such money when you dont even have a flas? and still a 5mp camera?just look at the samsung omnia hd it cost about 400 euro and has more feature than any iphone and in my countri the 3gs cost 800 euros.the there is the sonyerrcsson satio wich has way more features the any iphone and cost 450 euors.just make me understand what makes people buy phones from apple at thees prices with last years stuff on it when you could buy this years sstuff at half the price?

This phone will never kick off with all these competetion out there, the loyal user may be its a time to start declone yourself and at least have a look what is out there, don't fall for this iCon.

Why no one speaks about these yellow spots? I just picked up mine yesterday with the hope its clear of fault, just noting the spots which they turn green and then red after only 24 hours of use, and not mentioning the reception which is crap when holding it with your left hand signal just drops sharp. Is this a joke or is it a total failer by iCon? I am returning it tomorrow fed up with it, and seek of Steve comment and arogent attitute, he wouldn't have a job next year after this failer and more to come. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE even for free , what is the point if you can't even make a phone call, and you have yellow birds flying on the screen while you surfing the web, total failer by iCon.

I am sick of apple and I am sick of Steve JOb showing his sheepish smile on every product launch. If I had money I would have dragged apple into the court for misleading people about video calling.How the hell they have pioneered this???And video call is avialable only on wifi network. I have 3GS Iphone and I am gonna buy any thing else but not iphone again. Multitasking on Iphone software upgrade is a joke.
