Rick, 28 Jun 2010Whatever... I can pull other sites too that the Evo wins ag... moreAnd when your battery goes dead flat after using it as a wifi hotspur, then what do you do?

Besides the Evo isn't even a GSM phone and is irrelevant to anyone but Americans on slow old CDMA networks who think the 4G speeds they get in limited cities when the rest of the world are used to the same speeds on HSDPA.

We all know that they work for Apple.

They compare iPhone vs anything and iPhone wins.

Evo is the next generation phone. IPhone 4 is the past. Without any comparisn Evo wins, no question about that.

Did you read their review on Wave? It was not even close to a profesional review. It was just full of hatred and injustice. While Wave wins over iPhone 4 with eyes closed.

People don't believe on their review anymore.

That means nothing against hands-on... Have you even picked up a new Android phone? Doubt it. You wouldn't be so stuck on Apple, believe me. I've used both. Oh, did I mention I can tether to my laptop or use my phone for a hotspot for up to 8 WiFi devices? How could Apple even compete against sound quality and dropped signal alone without mentioning all the other goodies I have now? You're losing out, not me.

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2010In a capitalist society success is rated on the stock marke... moreHaha very true although in recent years, Apple has simply been the new brawny investment bull that investors are wearing thin until it's exhausted. Then it will be pulled aside, shot, and the next bull will be injected with the steroid of buying volume and released into the market. That's also part of capitalism and it may be the hard side to comprehend for most people, but 10 years of popularity and straight gains is nothing new. I mean, believe it or not, it was Microsoft before Apple stole the limelight. I try to avoid sticking to brand names because to companies, you're just a customer. Therefore, the most intelligent choice for us consumers is to treat brand names as what they are- brand names. I have the Nokia N900 and not because it's made by Nokia but because I found it to be the most functional phone at the time. I think that people should realize that brand affinity is just marketing propaganda. If Apple's iPhone 4 is great, then by all means, use it but when Apple starts losing their magic touch, don't be blinded by the Apple logo on the back cover. I don't want to force anybody to do anything but when the ignorance some of people begins to hurt the economy and people as a whole, it becomes everyone's duty to speak up about it.

After updating my apps using the newly installed ios4 in my ipod, the apps don't know how to get back to their folders but stay outside. Before the updates all of them were nicely put in games 1, games 2, etc but now I have to drag them back into their folders again... Does anyone else have this problem???

Here, have a read of this article:-

              http://www.thomas-fitzgerald.net/2010/06/26/about-that-iphone-4-reception-problem-and-the-bigger-issues-in-technology-journalism/

It explains, in a common sense way the issue of bloggers on the web, trying to blow things out of all proportion as far as Apple is concerned.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2010Well there's also a rumor going around that you're lying an... moreYou wish!
If I am a hater and I make up stories like this I will never say that is "allegedly" or "not sure". My statement will be 100% convincing without any doubts. Right?
I must say that story is highly possible if you look from technical point of view .
How to prevent network dropping? Simply..boost your phone transceiver. Boosting beside better signal also meaning that you get more radiation. More radiation meaning bigger SAR.
More than intriguing is detailed list of consumer protectors (sharks) which just waiting to justify their existence and enormous budgets. And that make this hear-say (rumor) very possible.
Not happy because this, God shall not forgive those who laugh at someone else's misery! And specially if Apple make something like that.

What is funny is that with all this going on the iPhone will continue to sell millions. All you guys yapping about the phone need to be held a certain way but it is stll sold out everywhere for a long time and people are still dying to get their hands on one. Check Ebay lately? They are going for twice the price of the next best phone at least. When Apple fix this bug of theirs you guys will be left with nothing else to talk about but to think about the insecurity on the phone that you are currently using. Apple won't take over the world but my god they sure like to make a lot people here jealous.

I dropped my Nokia N 73 ME, so many times, and nothing happened,(ofcourse I have been extra careful with my high end phones, but still occassionally dropped them, yet they survived and nothing happened).

But check out this video of the IPhone 4, just 2 drops and the phone stops working. And I am sure you would be able to guess in how many drops, the ph wud crash.

                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7-OBoDFeDY

Go in for the Nokia N8.

                    Cheers!!

Rick, 28 Jun 2010C'mon - hands down the EVO blows iPhone 4 away. I can do so... moreYou obviously didn't read the comparison review between the evo and the iphone4 at phone arena. The iphone4 won :)

Where are all the IPhone 4 Fans??

Are they sleeping or maybe catching fish??

What an insult to you all.

Mr Jobs is teaching you all how to hold a mobile ph??

                        Hahahahahaha thatz so damn funny..

                        People grow up atleast now.

Dump the Iphone and get yourself an android phone or even better, wait for a while and get yourself a Nokia N8. I am sure the other phones would have signal/ reception in anyway that you hold it.

Even Mr Jobs is not loyal with his brand.

He uses Nokia as his secondary phone and when the media is not near him.

Do you remember the inauguration demo by Mr Jobs of the IPhone, there was a point of time, when his Iphone 4 was not able to connect thru Wifi and it was a simple solution, he was not holding the phone in the right way.. Lol...

                        Cheers!!

C'mon - hands down the EVO blows iPhone 4 away. I can do so much more, play so much more, make video calls on 3 or 4G without using WiFi, download "free" music, have up to 8 megapixels on my camera, plug it in my HDTV too, multitask and talk surfing the web, broadcast live video... the list goes on... APPLE acts as if they've invented all this technology... and my Android is open source. I don't have to look at what Steve wants me to look at. I can change my log on, boot screen and have live wallpapers, pinch to zoom and use flash... they way I want it. I also have 4G here in TX... AT&T won't have that for another year... Android is so much better... In fact, I'm listening to Pandora Radio, wearing my Motorola Bluetooth Rokers, answering calls and writing this to you on my EVO!

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2010Best Touch for sure , but having a holding problem, grippin... moreWhy don't you look on page 147 of the Nexus manual where it says not to cover the mouthpiece with you hand because that is where the antenna is and it can cause reception problems.

The reason the antenna is now being placed on the bottom of phones is to get them away from the side of your head away from your brain.

This is the usual rabid attack from people who last year were endlessly whining about exploding batteries and discoloured iPhones, which all turned out to be rubbish.

There are a lot of reviews where they fail to reproduce this issue, it seems to be limited to trolls on the Internet who have never even seen an iPhone 4.
