Today's 4th year anniversary owning my Iphone 5. Bought the Iphone 5 16gb on 2 years Maxis contract back in 27 Dec 2012. So far it's a reliable, tough (due to Glass screen protector and Targus Hybrid casing) and user friendly companion. Just updated to IOS 10.2. A bit laggy while playing Subway Surfers. Camera quality's decent but terrible at Low light shooting.
The Drawbacks, 16GB barely enough. Thanks to Google Photos, managed to backup and Spring clean my photos. Now left 500+/- MB storage. Battery replaced once Jan this year and OEM now shows sign of deteriorating. Overall rating 9/10. Highly recommended. But get AT LEAST 64GB.

I have been using my iPhone 5 for about a year and it's still working pretty well. :) I got two dead pixels after battery replacement and iOS 10 became little bit laggy when it switches between keyboards. but hopefully overall performance is good. I love this iPhone.

Installed iOS 10.2. if you are on any other version of iOS 10 and don't Wait for a jailbreak, update immediately

Ip5 good phone but in 2016 apps handling n support is big question becoz it has 32bit architecture n where as in ip5s still A7 chip n 64 bit makes it powerful n it will be upto ios12

Mine has got a problem with the Lcd on the right hand corner . What can i do to fix it ?

I bought iphone 5 January 2016 first few months everything was great, but after 4 months its battery started swelling and dust got deposited on the back camera, screen was bulged out. I had never expected this much poor quality from apple.
This was not all, when i tried to get a replacement for the battery (since it was still under warranty), I came to know that its not under warranty anymore. I had the bill, i called apple support, they said they can't do anything I have to get a paid service.
Absolutely rubbish support from apple. Because of the battery problem my screen also got damaged. And the original replacement cost was 13500 for (LCD+touch panel), I mean what the ***k. My experience with apple is worse. I do not know what the god damn hell they charge so much money for if you can not provide a good customer service.

Just want to share how good this phone is; it's old but it has never given me any problem. My phone is updated with the latest version 10.1.1 and the unit doesn't have lag issues. The only reason I'd replace this phone is when the urge to buy one with a 5.5" display kicks in :D

Mdy, 26 Nov 2016My ip5 do not support 4g eventho 4g was enable. Hello, You should check your SIM card cause that might be the main problem. If it doesn't support 4G coverage then you won't be able to use 4G. Thank you!

is that a problem?
