Anonymous, 22 Dec 2012Actually you can change Android to do almost anything you c... moreI own both. Ip5 and GS3. For me I dont want to do anything as to change the way the phone is manufactured. What you are talking about is for 1% of literate and technology guys like you who can appreciate what you've done. But in the end you use the basis set up by google when producing the os. Its not your os. I believe you would write your own os if possible. 99,99% of phone users read these things but they cant do it. Its as simple as that. When you change anything on a car for instance, you are still using the basic setup by the manufacturer. It is still not your brainchild. For you it is worth it to use android and play around and change things like you mentioned. But the 99,99% using the phone is not capable of doing it. They can just change the looks and play around with widgets and icons. For you, the android is better, but in the end its a personal thing. By the way, I' m through N8 and 4s and now I'm with IP5 and also own GS3 and Blackberrys. All I'm saying is that it is personal. You like android. For me its maybe apple. And windows 8 is not on standard like 7. I downloadedit on my pc, but I'm mising a lot of drivers etc etc, and are back with 7. Still a personal thing.

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2012No you are completely wrong, because with Android you can c... moreThat's exactly what I'm talking about. You can just customize it to LOOK the way you want it. You can't change the os or the way the phone works. My N8 was the same. In the end it was the same phone with the same features. Therefore it is still personal. If you like it, its ok. But to say or pretend to "change" it....lol. And a lot of people just dont like it. In the end the phone is not your own brainchild. Even if you customize the looks. But, if you lile it, its fine. But its no reason for people to say its a better phone. It just let the user feel better as he feels now he is doing an amazing thing. Iphine works just other way round. The manufacturers dont want people to play around with their product. But its working 100%! In the end it is still a personal thing.

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2012You say you cant change anything on iphone's os...why would... moreNo you are completely wrong, because with Android you can customise it to look like almost anything you like, and if you really want a boring looking OS you can easily install an IOS theme so everything looks just like iPhone on the surface, or if you into Star Trek you could have the LCARS interface or Windows 8 or basically customise it any way you like the way people buy cases to suit their taste, but with iPhone you only get exactly what Apple decides they'll allow you to have.

Not true. I've got Sony Xperia S, my daughter iPhone5 and my wife 4S. By far best battery is on 4S, while iPhone 5 lasts 5 days with moderate use (wifi and bluetooth ON). Xperia S lasts up to 3 days with wifi and Bluetooth OFF and just under a day when they are ON. HTC and Samsung Galaxy 2S that are owned by my brother in law and my cousin also last about a day (on a good day). So, iPhone5 is pretty much at the top in terms of battery juice among modern smartphones.

Yesterday I was in a mall and I saw Apple store(south Africa) so I made my way to get inside and it was very packed with people who are to buy iPhone's. And I happen to play around IPhone 5 that's the coolest phone no doubt it beats many. I just can't afford it but a good Samaritan can bless me with it.. I'm a die hard user and fan of HTC but credit should always be given where it is due... well done Apple..

stop trolling, 21 Dec 2012Thanks for the reply, like i said i'm samsung fan but also ... moreI always say to my son-in-law when he brag about his car; "remember, it's not you that build the car and come up with all the tech...it's someone else, so, don't act as if it's your brainchild...just enjoy it". Same with phones. But one thing I realise is that Apple and Samsung are on top at this moment. Nokia with windows scared me a bit, although I like Nokia Belle (the 808). I used the N8 Nokia till my upgrade when I got iphone. Then I bought GS3.Wish all people can be like you (and me...lol). All phones are good...just use it and then decide what suits you personal and what you prefer. My wife will upgrade in Feb 2013, and I will go for Nokia 808 (she's using N8 now). That will be so easy for her, and she will need not to adapt. It will just make it a lot easier.
