I used to carry symbian phones for a long time, and they all had the option of installing apps on the external sd card. also android phones have other methods that actually enable you to place apps on the sd card in case you have a small internal one. for phones that have large internal memories (s3 for example) you dont even need to bother about that

The developers don't develope apps to run off the sd card. If storage is really a problem, then get a 32 gb. That not enough? get a 64gb. Even asus don't have micro sd cards on their padfone. they know better too. apps cannot run off the sd card.

[deleted post]If apple offer an SD Card slot for their devices. everyone would buy the cheapest model right! that's a marketting strategy of apple that dont offer card slot and they are forcing you to buy larger memory model (if 16GB storage is too short for you). that's why they are in top! apple is one of the most valuable company on planet! weather you like it or not! if your samsung offer plastic and expandable storage, and you deal it. its your choice and be happy with it! if apple not offer memory expansion for their devices. Well respect it! we still buy it ok! if you dont like what they offer. dont buy it! whats the big deal? no one forcing you to buy their products. right! just stick to your expandable plastic gs3. just like us - iphone users we happy what apple offered to us! yes apple not offering so much freedom like changing storage, but they offered quality that lacks in others... enough said!!!

I just bought an iPhone 5 and I have to say, iPhone 5 is far way better than my S2 and my sister's S3. The S3 feels so cheap and looks ugly. I'm super happy with my iPhone 5.

However, to a lot of android users, apps not being to run out of the micro sd card is totally new. One of the things that shocked him, when I told him that. I saved his life from buying an s3. He was so excited at one time.
