A major shift is already coming, the Android collective will be splintered by the arrival of WP8. unlike iOS which has a loyal following, a big majority of Android users are simply owners of cheap smartphones, who haven't an inkling at all if you ask them what Android is. WP8 led by Nokia will probably win a lot of these users back, with the more appealing lower end WP8 phones.
2013 is going to be a super interesting year!

Check out the Android prototype called 'Sooner' before the iPhone launch. Not only did they rip off Apple, but before the iPhone they were planning on ripping off Blackberry lololol!

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2012the real truth between ios and android. apple haters will n... moreI've had all the apple iphones except iphone 3S and all I can say is the iphone 5...is no different besides it being slightly bigger than iphone 4S. I am really considering going to android for the next big phone release. I was really disappointed that I paid 1k for the 64gb version only to find that there was really nothing new and if anything even worse e.g. purple flare on camera (Apple told me its suppose to do this...just capture photos without being in the sunlight *WTF?!?*) or the ios 6 maps..(even worse than the first generation GPS that was released ages ago). All I have to show for a 1k phone that is almost $300 more than a S3 is that it's slightly longer with "newer" features that android got 1-2 years ago and slightly better app games...that I hardly use.
Seriously...just because you say everything and add "Source : this is not made up, this is straight from a friend who works at a programming company that makes apps"..really doesn't strengthen your argument at all. There's no actual proof this friend actually exists nor does it have any credibility.
SD card is a useful feature regardless whether you can run apps on it. My friend uses the SD card hold photos and videos on it AND also back up her contacts list so when she got a newer phone (galaxy nexus), she could just restore everything without having to connect to a computer...install driver...program....etc.
IOS update....I don't really justify an extra $300 for some updates and who's to say that android only gets 1 update? my friend with an S3 has gotten 3 updates so far and then plus the jelly bean.
In the end, the best phone so far that was released from Apple was iPhone 4S. why? It's different from the 3S by a lot. What's different from the 4S and the 5? It's longer with crappier features. I believe that since Steve jobs passed away, all apple could do is sue sue sue and then release the same type of phone at a higher price. I believe they can do much better than this. Depending on what their next phone is, I'll decide if I want to continue with apple or not.

No one disputes that Android has a ton of features, but the denial that its based on iOS is pathetic. I'm an Apple fan, and I for example know that Mac OS originally was inspired by Xerox's GUI.
Android fans are in denial. The new brainwashed generation.
