iPhone has same old boring UI full of rows of icons and nothing else. As a GS3 fan, the only thing I like about the iPhone is its high price. I'm with AT&T so I upgraded my line and got brand new iPhone and sold it on ebay for $1000. I then turned around and got me a brand spanking new QUAD-CORE GS3 for only $575. I still have close to $200 left after taking out the cost of the iPhone which was $218 after taxes.
Long live the iPhone!

New York, 23 Oct 2012i own a samsung sii and it sucks big time. i've owned iphon... moreWhat I said isn't about what kind of job Samsung is doing, it's about widgets which are an amazing feature and would bring IOS into a whole new level but Apple will never do it because the only reason IOS is so smooth is because it's so flat and basic.
I mean comparing IOS to Android is like comparing a flat painting(IOS) to a 3D sculpture(Android)
Because basically IOS is just a highly polished version of the OS they were doing 6 years ago and Android is constantly adding extra layers and those extra layers and capabilities are what makes Android buggier and it's truly amazing it's Apr smooth as it is with all the things it does, but IOS is so smooth because Apple never try much new and just keep polishing the same thing over and over which is easy to do.

And I can guarantee if Apple ever bothers to gives IOS widgets and finally brings IOS into this decade people will be truly amazed by how much better IOS is.
But like I've said before Apple is more interested in looking good than actually being good, and IOS will start off being seriously buggy to begin with if they add Widgets, and I can never see Apple doing that if the average Apple customer just blindly keeps buying whatever has the Apple logo on next.

[deleted post]I don't quite understand when people say iOS doesn't have "real" multitasking On both iOS & Android third party apps freeze in the background. They both allow certain "services" to continue to run. On iOS Apple dictates what these are. On Android, Google also dictates what these are. However the developer can create their own "services" and allow them to run in the background. So you gain some functionality on Android, at the expense of battery life and performance. Neither do "true" multitasking. Real world, theres more to it.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2012the real truth between ios and android. apple haters will n... moreApple could very easily made it so only music, videos & images can be stored on external memory or even make a proprietary high-speed external card that only works in iPhone and would be fast enough for installing Apps on, and people use phones now for all their music and media and since it records video in 1080p you can get very little on the 16gb version.
So no matter what Apple propaganda you hear about why Apple doesn't include certain features it is almost always about simply making more money from customers by restricting features and giving you no choice but to buy a whole new phone when you end up short on memory because after getting a Smartphone people inevitably want to do more things with it.

Widgets too are ok only with few of them if you just too lazy to tap just one more time to actually reach the app in menu...plus with more of them it just ends up as another menu... i am a Samsung user and if you can track down my internet provider with my imei then would know which model i use, but still i rarely use widgets apart from certain like msg, camera, and weather, that's all...
and btw what are u - pampering the company (android) that its too difficult to code multitasking and all...!!
dude we care for end results don't we?? unless we get paid for the technical jargon... multitasking should be there but as of now given the ironic battery with almost every smart phone, its too stupid to use it casually that way...the only thing is that we can just show off - my phone has this that and your phone doesn't... where's the point in actual usage, unless we scumb to use almost anything any company gives, even if that was useless to us or just say could be achieved by another method...

Polycarbonate plastic seem to be more scratches resistance , lighter and better signal transmission.

What makes apple superior to any android phone no matter what.
Applications.
Programmers are more focused on developing high quality applications for the apple because it's easier. Thus giving them much better apps. Android users say "no no they are the same" the truth, is, this is not. Apple's os have much much better applications then the android. Source : this is not made up, this is straight from a friend who works at a programming company that makes apps.
SD Card. We won't know whats apple reason for not having a micro sd card slot. However, apple is fully aware, (as they work very close to those programmers) that these programmers DO NOT ALLOW these apps to be able to run out of the sd card. This is "most programmers" do not allow this. so its utterly useless, since apps cannot run out of the sd card anyways. it's only good for storing music and photos I guess. Which is kinda useless too, since there should be more then enough space on a 16gb iphone. How many photos do you really have? 20000? Cmon, how bout songs? are you really going to have 800 songs?
IOS update. The iphone will suport up to the next 3 updates. So for example, the iphone 5, can be upgraded up until the IOs8, as for android, it can only be updated once! So pretty much, that S3, you update the android once, and thats it. It will not allow another update, and you will need to buy another android phone.
Thus why apple is superior to any other phone out there.
Android users can feel free to brag about how great it is. Go ahead. But this is the real truth, apple applications >>>>>>> android applications. No joke. If your not writing programs for the iphone, your not a reputable programming company. Once they prove their worth writing android apps, they will go to apple, and hope they make it to the big boys, to the "real phone company"

all I ever hear applets say is "ooh it's long, OS6 has probs but hop apple gon fix this, it laggs behind android in software functionality thought offering excellent performance bla bla bla..".

after weeks of explorations I realized the phone can't beat my original galaxy note® released 1 yr before.
iphone is snappy and with the executive feal but that is all it has 2 offer coz OS is all β version `coz of A lot of bugs` and expensive for nothing.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2012There is no lag on iPhone because its UI is very dumbed-dow... moreI know for a fact that any iPhone owner capable of being honest does like the idea of Widgets because it just makes a phone infinitely better, but multitasking is difficult to code smoothly and Apple are more interested in IOS looking smooth than giving people something that could make even the most hardened Anti-Apple people take iPhone seriously as a Smartphone.
