While iOS will remain relatively stable, WP8 will eat into Android markets hate through a halo effect from the tablet wars.

ZDNet - Android's tablets training wheels for Windows 8 tablet makers

    http://www.zdnet.com/android-tablets-training-wheels-for-windows-8-tablet-makers-7000005739/

    From the article:

"The iPad is usually the named competition for the upcoming Windows 8 tablets, but it's likely Android tablet sales that will be most affected. That's evident by all the major Android tablet makers preparing Windows tablets for launch."

The biggest argument against Apple that I often hear is the fact that you have to use iTunes to load up your media. But is it really such a big deal? I have a Windows PC and I already have iTunes on it. I downloaded it just to see what it looked like, and that took like ten minutes. And iTunes discovers the media thats already on you hard drive, so whats the problem really???

Right now I have a LG Optimus Black and I don't know if its the phone or what, but anytime I connect with the cable to upload new songs it has to start installing drivers and acting up; the whole process sometimes crashes and I have to start again - it can get tedious. And removing the memory card is fine software wise, but its begun to make my battery cover loose because of always having to remove it each time.

I wanna replace my OB with iPhone mainly because of RESALE VALUE. When I bought my OB it cost me $500 - I've tried to look after it the best I can, but when I sell it, the best I'm gonna get is $250 because of my loose battery cover and a few scratches on the plastic back - plus the fact that androids are all about spec - and my spec is too old. However with iPhone the story is different. When I bought my OB, iPhone4s 32 GB was going for about $1250 in my country. Now they cost $1100 brand new, and a good condition second hand will go for between $900 and $950. They hold their value better - it just makes more sense. So I'm keen to dump android for a while, and try something new. I don't use widgets or live wallpapers much anymore - grew out of it I guess: plus they just eat battery, memory and data. There is really nothing to loose, provided my phone doesn't get lost or broken.

And I don't deny Android is open to attack but like always the more capabilities something has the more room there is for problems, and Airpush Ads are seriously annoying but can be easily blocked by installing an App from Google Play, and I do know for an absolute fact that most iPhone users do like the idea of Widgets and Airpush Ads are just an annoying price you have to pay to have them.

Android is simply imploding with multiple unsolvable problems and WP8 is stepping in to replace the platform, (not instantly of course). Fragmentation makes app optimization almost impossible. Inefficient multitasking wasted battery life.

Poor security results in FBI warning. 700% rise in malware over one quarter only. Very poor updating has resulted in majority on Gingerbread, with no signs of upgrading anytime soon.

If you don't like iPhone, get Lumia. Android is on the way down.

I know someone who downloaded a game on their SG2 phone, and started to get adverts constantly coming through their phone, plus "download hot babes". Had to download Air Push to find out the cause and discovered wot it was. You wouldn't get this on the iPhone.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2012FBI issues warning that Android is a haven for malware. ... moreBecause of multitasking Android basically works the same way as Windows, Mac & Linux so all those extra layers of capabilities means there's more room for Malware and Viruses, where IOS can't multitask so only has that single layer and is easier to protect.
And the reality is almost no one on Android ever has any problems with Malware and the only place you see it possibly happening is in lecture halls etc with people showing you that it's possible.
I mean most people only get Apps from Google Play and it's almost impossible anyone will find any Malware from there, and the only reason you can get problems is Google allows people to sell Apps away from Google Play and you can install by just ticking a box in the settings, but Apple's restriction mean you have to get everything from the App Store and authorized by them which means a lot of restrictions.

All you Apple haters, enjoy your Android device, enjoy the numerous crashes. I've tested 98% off all smartphones that hit the market place and sorry, the iPhone will always be the leader of the pack. It's not buggy, it's smooth and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Android is a great idea, however the lags and multiple crashing occurrences must be fixed. There is a reason why you have to spend a bit more to get an apple, however lemons are cheaper.

Because over the last decade or so they evolved to devices that can replace every handheld device and that has become the creedo of every smartphone manufacturer to give customers a phone that means there's no need to carry anything else because features don't compare to dedicated devices but they are good enough for everyday use.
And like I said before Apple has become contradictory to every other Smartphone because features give way to the quest for profit.
I mean until the 90s people would show off all their different devices and have full walls displaying displaying all their music and videos, but most people just don't do that anymore.
