AnonD-8044, 30 Sep 2012I have some mates in real life,,twitter and on forums i fol... moreYeah NFC does nothing yet but that's why I'm saying people should start bugging Apple about it because you don't need much imagination to realise the potential of simply placing the phone on or waving it past to activate something. Because you could maybe have it in the car holder or store in a NFC enabled fridge magnet that you could store a message in, or I dunno even things like Pokemon cards where you just place on phone and gives you information or something.
And I admit it won't be until iPhone has NFC that these things happen, but the way Apple works is if it's not profitable then they won't include it.

AnonD-56991, 30 Sep 2012I pointed out how NFC works before with the tags but you se... moreYou say about Apple not listening to its customers but it has..You getting mixed up with what high power tech geeks want ..Apple folk wanted better camera ,bigger screen,so they got that..

Other companys dont listen either..Every phone is useless when it rains and thats a huge complaint..Moto defy solved this but did they charge top money for it,,NO.So you can make a waterproof rugged fone and quite slim,,thats what folk want and better battery life..

Apple went wrong this time with trying to go for thinnest fone when no-one is interested ,,thin fones can be uncomfortable why not make it thicker and stick in decent battery..

Apple will not get away with using this design again, not even with Apple fans.

AnonD-56991, 30 Sep 2012I pointed out how NFC works before with the tags but you se... moreI have some mates in real life,,twitter and on forums i follow and no ones interested in NFC..Maybe it an android thing that android folk expect.

Yes here in UK we want NFC to pay for small items like newspapers and snacks but no where is investing..I do have one follower who had Nexus S about a year ago and he did NFC stuff with tags from NFC dog or something like that..I always remember him telling folk to buy 2 tags for each operation..So you enter bedroom at night and bedside clock activates and ringer shuts off, but, you need another tag so when you leave bedroom it returns fone to state it was in before you entered bedroom.

I just slide lock down on side of iphone and it mutes all sounds except in emergency if someone needs to contact you,,then go to bed with podcast playing..I know what you mean about the tags but interest is not there thats all.

They are waiting for iphone to get NFC because that means its ready to go as Apple will set up the ecosystem,,android has the chance to beat Apple and get NFC into mainstream like Japan but it doesn't.

If folk really wanted NFC and know about NFC they would ask at point of sale and reject iphone for android or Nokia C7 etc..

I reckon most folk take a picture upload it to facebook/twitter,make fone calls do some sms and check time, play some mp3 and thats it..We are geeks on here and make up tiny percent of fone sales,,maybe normobs never heard of NFC.

Had the 3GS, 4 and 4S. The 5 was quite a letdown - very little innovation, very minor upgrade from the 4S. The build quality was superb at first glace, but the phone is too light - yes, lighter is not always better. Soon you will realize the 5 is much more prone to scratches than the 4/4S. The anodized aluminum chipping issue is very real and your new 5 will look older than my 4S in no time. I'm fine with the iOS6, I even like the new map - the 3D view is just spectacular.
I decided to jump for Android a few days after playing with the 5. The galaxy S3 is a great piece of device, though I'm still struggling with the UI after a couple days of usage. I would say if you are like me, a long time iPhone user who wants something more refreshing than a longer screen, switch to Android for a year. Samsung did a fantastic job with the S3. Give it a try, if you don't like it, switch back to iPhone next year, and you know you did not miss much from the 5.

[deleted post]If Google was that obsessed about Ads they wouldn't allow the Ad Free app or similar Ad blockers but they are freely available on the market, and while most free games have Ads all you have to do is pull down the notification bar and turn data off then they are truly free.
But Apple doesn't want to allow free games because it's impossible to get a percentage cut from a free game and everyone knows Apple does nothing for free or cheap.

[deleted post]Android phones have always been a terminal for advertising since day one true,,but what you said about Meego/maemo 5 ,oh my goodness...If Nokia had chosen that as their platform they would have had a potent pocket computer on their hands..

Folk looking to upgrade from N9 have what to upgrade too, nothing, but at least Jolla are doing something about it but will devices come to UK where i am..

It has a bigger screen, better battery capacity, it has more storage, more Ram. Iphone has a better built in quality which is very important I admit.

                                  Main disadvantages ::::::lots
Aluminum body looks cool but is easy to scratch
Proprietary connector, incompatible with previous-gen accessories (needs adapter)
The new display is not proportionally bigger, but only taller
Unadapted apps run letterboxed due to the unusual resolution
                                  nano-SIM support only
Apple Maps app not up to scratch
                                  No USB Mass Storage mode
                                  No FM radio
                                  No stereo speakers
                                  No microSD card slot
No NFC connectivity (though that may be nitpicking)
Stuck with iTunes for loading content
                                  Mono audio recording in video

Y u no hd display. Almost all high end smartphones have HD 720p display. The best display is provided by Sony and Htc Example: Sony Xperia S, Htc Rezound.

guys i have an android phone but i prefer iOS because it is simple and easy to use than android.... iPhone 5 is better than Galaxy S3....right the S3 has quad-core but the ip5 is faster than s3 if u dont belive watch comperasion in youtube and siri is much better than s voice and there was more apps in app store than google play and gaming on ip5 is better than s3 because the SGX543MP3 is stronger than MALI-400MP...this is my opinio and thanks.
