This was me before on my Android but I realized I had a hundred apps I never used, dozens of hours of music and video I never consumed. Now I keep just the apps I need, stream as much media as possible and subscribe to 2 edm podcasts that constantly refresh new content and discard the old on a weekly basis for my local music fix. Oh yes and cloud save those photos and videos, clear them out regularly. I've got 64gb on my google drive so no worries there, but even the standard 5gb iCloud would be good for a while, then upload to your pc. It works well for me and my device is always light and fresh.

the best way to save batteryb on your iphone 5c is to charge it about 2 hours before you go to bed then put it on aeroplane mode overnight and it saves alot of battery time, then turn aeroplane mode off as sson as you wake up

This Phone has really surprised me. I used Android (Galaxy S4, S5 and many more), but this is the best phone I ever had. I have this since one month. Battery life I didn't expect it would be this great. 18 hours since the last time I charged and in the meantime 6 hours of screen time (YouTube, browsing internet, couple of apps) and still 30% left. With Wifi on. Also with 4G LTE battery is just as strong. It feels like quality in your hands, very sturdy. iOS runs very fast, reliable and the camera takes excellent pictures and very loud and full speaker quality. This iPhone 5C is fantastic!

I was already satisfied with the S4's battery life and wasn't expecting much considering the smaller battery of the iPhone. But it surprised me!
I assume you want to validate you iPhone because you're buying used? You can check the serial number on apples website, but even if it's good there's nothing preventing the seller from reporting the phone stolen later to fraud insurance. I'd recommend buying new unless it's from someone you know and trust.
