Aloha mate,
I have update. First impression very smooth and fast slaids, apps are fantastic love the mail improvement also notification are fancy good. I'm with iphone 5s so far so good... health application isn't that useful. But oh yeah the camera new futures are awesome I would point that as a biggest improvement in the new update, off-course this is my personal opinion and don't want to engage all of you with :) But i thing switching to ios 8 will be better.

But if you prefer roomy screen, free customisation, or convenience to adjust as your own wishes then go for Galaxy Note. I used to have Galaxy S3 for 2 years and now using Iphone, can make the difference between both platforms and I'm satisfy so far. As I motioned below will appreciate few software updates regarding default e-mail client on IOS compare to Androids one. Well in resume you personally should decide what you will use your phone for. And then buy. Gaming experience, and personal data safety for sure Iphone. Smooth and fast operating again my points goes for Iphone. Customisation (that will make your device slowly ) here the points for Note, bigger screen ( poor battery life ) go for Samsung Note. The best looking phone with the premium materials and classy outlook 100% iphone.

And once again it really depends on your personal wishes.

Want simplicity and stress free fast fluid smartphone choose iPhone.
Want a smartphone you can do what you like with but bit unpredictable ,not the same experience every time and complex choose Android.

Theres no simple answer to your question, dont ask it as youre not gonna get any good answers before you decided what you are looking for in a phone.

Don'... moreMe too I'm really excited and a bit nervous too cos I'm on 7.1.2 which i find its quite stable ..what if something went wrong which is unlikely to happen in iPhone 5s although some tech site like BGR,Techno buffalo,Slashgear are warning not to upgrade if you own an iPhone 4s which will ruined it they said ..well certainly for 5s users hope there isn't any bug in iOS 8 upgrade ..

AnonD-201997, 15 Sep 2014You're welcome and let hope the new iOS 8 update solve the ... moreYea third party keyboard will be fantastic dealing with, as we all know that the default keyboard on iphone is not miracle... :) Well, I will appreciate few software optimization on the email client as I daily send over a 30 mails so it will be more convenient like it's on Android.
Will see will see. I also point as strength new notification pop-ups and improved camera software.

Edit: Ok now i see iOS version have different UI. So it doesnt work when you press the Status icon on bottom of display?
