I' ve two 5s. One with IOS-10 AND OTHER WITH IOS-11. But comparitively ios-11 works with problems. Facing network issues, battery drains fast, lags often, apps crashes. and quite slow too. where as IOS 10 is good no big problems. My verdict is "FOR 5S, IOS 10 is opt" IF you need IOS 11 definitely, go for 6 or more.

      After update ios 11 .. 5s runs smooth no big difference i have noticed .. but battery ls little bit less than ios 10.3.3.. so my suggestion is to please update

                  upgrading iOS will just slows down your iPhone.. especially for old models like 5s.. 1-2 software update is still good. but pushing it to the limit will just cripple that thing..

                  and that's what happning years ago.!

                      i installed iOS 11 on my 5s and i must say its AWESOME - its features is ok, and also i observe that its (5s) battery life take longer than previous iOS version.. my phone can last 3 days on light usage (txt & call)..

Also, the iPhone can do charging and no something wrong with the system charging. For battery drain faster is okay, I agree. For not smooth, I can still accept it.

                            Hi all.,

                            Pls dont update ios 11 on your iphone 5s. Problems are,

                            1 Hanging problem
                            2 Mobile networking problem (Some times not reachable)
                            3 Not comfortable when compared to 10.3.3
                            4 Fast battery drain
                            5 Non smooth

But your argument make points, I figured already, that familiarized devices are more coherent to each other. Well, I'm a fossil today, an OS change or addition will not be an option for me anymore.
