I'm sorry but why would I buy a phone that has half processing power, less camera quality, isn't water or dust proof, video recording quality is less but is double to triple the price to buy outright than it's biggest competitor's.

If you all android fans are driving on a road, where you cannot drive with more than 100 miles per hour, do you need a 300 horsepower car? Just think about this question and after that start speaking about craps like Sony, HTC or whtaever

Do you think that 4 million people who ordered tis set I 24 hour from its launch time are fool. No other mobile manufactures can ever match apple products. I am permanent user of iPhones and don't ever like using other brands.

Specifications looks pathetic. 65k is what you are paying for just a bigger screen. There are much better phones and you get two phones for this price. This is outageous.

Iphone 6 2014 with 2012 specs, what a joke. Nothing exciting about looking at the same UI and icons over and over again with every new release. Can't get more boring than this. Good luck fanboys with spending all your money. I'll stick with my own highly custom made Android device, which is much more interesting to look at than any Iphone release.

AnonD-142922, 18 Sep 2014imagine I have 8 mpx on front camera on ascend p7 :DDDDSounds terrible. Would much prefer to have a bigger sensor (with 1.5micro m pixels) with better optics (f1.8) and lower resolution. The high megapixels on such a tiny sensor will only give you large, noisy, grainy, distorted images. I quite like the the idea of the Chinese company that used HTC's 4MP Ultrapixel camer on front with f1.8. Now that's smart. You will only be able to use the front camera in bright daylight to get "okay" photos if the optics and sensor weren't improved on a 8MP front snapper. Why do you think Apple so firmly sticks to the 8MP camera? According to them it has enough detail, so instead they work on on improving the quality(I like that idea as I also think around 8 - 12 is enough). But honestly I don't see that much improvement year after year. Would have loved to see more technology incorporated such as the Ultrapixel cameras from HTC, ISOCELL and 6 element lens from Samsung, Lazer focus from LG(blazing fast focus no matter how dark the environment) etc. But Apple is stagnant.

Unfortunately it barely topped my 2013 G2 in graphics performance (Basemark X, 19977 vs 21204, a staggering 6%) and we'll see the integer and floating point performance soon enough. And we all know the G2 is almost shit conpared to recent flagships such as the Note 4

The last iphone always cost the same as its competitor (samsung, lg, htc...)
Which is around $650 with no contract
                                  or $199 with contract.
so I really dont understand the price argument.

And after 2 years, when the full replacement (iphone 4 - 5 - 6...) comes it holds better value.

On the other hand samsung replaces their flagship every 6-8 their resell value is not better. So at the end who really spend more ?

AnonD-309223, 18 Sep 2014Before using an iPhone i thought it was a luxury gadget but... moreLol that is actually funny. I totally understand your point though, but the resale value of an iPhone is exactly why I started using Android. Because their resale value is so high, when the time came, I could only afford a second hand iPhone 4, but for the same price I could get an LG G 2 second hand, which was a lot newer (and better). Besides, after flashing Cyanogenmod(and other AOSP) and switching to ART it is just as fluid and fast as the new iPhones, but, I have twice the amout of RAM, have a 13MP OIS camera which can shoot UHD and 720p at 120fps, have a fm Radio, are able to play any video format, can easily connect to any pc and copy files or automate my phone, can use my phone's connections on the computer to send whatsapps, smss, call, skype, etc when at home, can customize the interface on the go to my hart's desire and multitask like a boss. Plus the display is second to none for the price (and was top of the range in 2013). My only gripe is the lack of micro SD, but it has USB OTG so that problem has been more or less solved, and the battery life is great. All in all, not a bad first phone and I'm glad I didn't persue iPhones. But to be honest, out of the box this phone kinda sucks, and it was searching to improve it (got fed up after about one week) that made tinker with it till I reached perfection (or my definition of it anyway). iPhones come with everything maxed out out of the box, but you just have to unlock the potential of most Android phones to unleash its raw power. I have since swopped phones for a day with my friend who has an iPhone 5, and IMHO I disliked it very much. To think it was exactly what I was searching for only months before. The entire thing felt like a toy. The childish colourful UI that was only skin deep and so bare bone it lacked any kind of excitement whatsoever and kept me longing to get my phone back. It was slow and lagged(Not that the G2 lagged less really, it was just a lot more snappy because the animation speed on my phone was 70% faster on an already snappy UI compared to the iPhone). It felt like the entire OS was built to be idiot proof. They took all the good stuff away so the kids won't mess it up or toggle things they don't understand and start to complain when they don't know whats going on. Plus hacking existing apps and trolling friends who has iPhones (or any other phone but doesn't have the know how) brought endless hours of fun :D
