I totally understand your point though, but the resale value of an iPhone is exactly why I started using Android. Because their resale value is so high, when the time came, I could only afford a second hand iPhone 4, but for the same price I could get an LG G 2 second hand, which was a lot newer (and better). Besides, after flashing Cyanogenmod(and other AOSP) and switching to ART it is just as fluid and fast as the new iPhones, but, I have twice the amout of RAM, have a 13MP OIS camera which can shoot UHD and 720p at 120fps, have a fm Radio, are able to play any video format, can easily connect to any pc and copy files or automate my phone, can use my phone's connections on the computer to send whatsapps, smss, call, skype, etc when at home, can customize the interface on the go to my hart's desire and multitask like a boss. Plus the display is second to none for the price (and was top of the range in 2013). My only gripe is the lack of micro SD, but it has USB OTG so that problem has been more or less solved, and the battery life is great. All in all, not a bad first phone and I'm glad I didn't persue iPhones. But to be honest, out of the box this phone kinda sucks, and it was searching to improve it (got fed up after about one week) that made tinker with it till I reached perfection (or my definition of it anyway). iPhones come with everything maxed out out of the box, but you just have to unlock the potential of most Android phones to unleash its raw power. I have since swopped phones for a day with my friend who has an iPhone 5, and IMHO I disliked it very much. To think it was exactly what I was searching for only months before. The entire thing felt like a toy. The childish colourful UI that was only skin deep and so bare bone it lacked any kind of excitement whatsoever and kept me longing to get my phone back. It was slow and lagged(Not that the G2 lagged less really, it was just a lot more snappy because the animation speed on my phone was 70% faster on an already snappy UI compared to the iPhone). It felt like the entire OS was built to be idiot proof. They took all the good stuff away so the kids won't mess it up or toggle things they don't understand and start to complain when they don't know whats going on. Plus hacking existing apps and trolling friends who has iPhones (or any other phone but doesn't have the know how) brought endless hours of fun :D

On one hand, an iPhone is not expensive if you compare it with other premium phones like the HTC flagship and even if you compare it to a plastic Samsung flagship still not that expensive. On the other hand, if you forget about reading specs and started to compare the actual performance of an iPhone with any other flagship you will see for yourself that specs comparing is non-sense.
But in the end it is all a matter of preferences, for me i prefer the iPhone for several reasons especially it's price when i try to resell it.

My fellow android mates. Whe shouldnt argue about cpu's and ram an gpu. Iphone will take that because good otimized. If iphone 6 whould have snap805 with adreno 420 it would be fastest thing on earth Beacuase apple customize good. Android has better camera 13.16.20. megapixels, good sharp pictures. Android have option to copy drag and paste.Android have ir remote for controlling tv. beamer, dvd and so on. Android has high quality 1080p screens. And one thing android is a beast, in battery life really. I went on vacation with family with galaxy s4. Fully charged it lasted more than one day. My aunt had 5s and had a powerbank all the time. The new z3compact is the best batterylife.

Please stop putting childish biased comments
based on a blind love to one operating system. Bellow, I will list all pros and cons of apple system, windows phone and android.
Apple/IOS Pros:
-All websites, hyperlinks, texts load instantly and never freez or crush
Superior touch interface and response
-Lag free scrolling!
-Good quality IPS LCD (Only on iPhones devices)
-Excellent keyboard shape and layout
Apple/IOS Cons:
-Greedy Apple orders cheap quality IPS LCD screens for iPads
-Iphone width is always narrow comparing to other brands
-Web browser does not load things quickly ( We will not know the exact reason since Apple stupidly don't use same fast processor that windows and android devices have)
Windows phone PROS:
-Superior touch interface and response
-Super fast internet explorer and response to any command within phone.s menus
-Excellent Keyboard shape and layout
-Lag free and very pleasant smooth scrolling
Windows phone Cons:
-even with new windows phone 8.1
loading of some website has minor issues
Android Cons:
-horrible scrolling
-horrible default keyboard shape and layout on any android phone
-sometimes not very responsive to
phone commands or touch commands within browser

I'm using iphone 3GS for 5 years and I can still do every daily routine like messages, phone, browsing etc. Yes It is slow anymore but believe in me I never resetted my phone even once in last five years.
Yes, I will buy an iphone 6 plus even it would have 512MB ram

Iphone Craver!, 18 Sep 2014I'm a big fan of Apple and iPhone.. Since i'm using 5s, i'm... moredude I can feel ur pain bro. I used to be a fan of a brand and that lead me to a dead end. I can see u need a well balanced device with solid future proofed specs. I recommend that you ask ur self if its worth sticking to a brand that can't deliver to ur needs or just reach for the device with the specs u need and enjoy them for what they are, what u want out of a device. chears buddy.

I android we consider those specs as for midrange to lowrange devices. u can have even more than that at a very little cost my friend. just open ur mind and try something different from what u know. it could be rewarding. it pains me to see people suffering and denying themselves what this hearts are craving for. just because they feel obligated to love a brand. this things are just marketing tools. go for what u like not what u are told and trained to like. u can even have ad much as 38 megapixels in ur hand of be able to take 4k videos to play back on ur tv if u have UHD tv. buy it brcause of what it truly does for u, not to please some corporate who does even care who u are.

The iPhone 6 GPU ranked 17th in benchmarks and is only a tiny bit faster than the iPhone 5S. The Lumia 1520 scored 5,000 points higher. And the Iphone 6 only has 1GB of RAM? Wow. Apply is playing catch up with the iPhone 6 and they're still well behind Android phones.

I am changing my Samsung S3 to iPhone coz I am fed up with slow performance.

I wish GSM ARENA be more specific about the LTE frequencies of this phone. Thre are three lines about LTE frequencies, so which one corresponds to this model ? this is very important for people in different countries that before buying this expensive iphone we must know which model has the LTE bands that apply to where we are going to use it. Thanks.
