Apple iPhone 6s

I have been an android user since 2011 until this year where I have decided to switch to iOS, specifically iphone 6s. I must admit this phone is a beast in terms of gaming performance. Heavy games with online multiplayer are very fluid, so if you are a gamer, iphone 6s or 6s plus would really be perfect. After extensive gaming like 2 to 3 hours, this phone still runs very smooth and the games still run very smooth as well. I cannot compare this with my previous android phones where they tend to slow down a little bit during extensive heavy games (multiplayer) with higher resolution settings.
I must also admit iOS is a closed ecosystem and I still find android OS to be perfect in terms of downloading any applications without restrictions, transferring files from one device to another, accessories support, etc., but in terms of performance, I would honestly say that this iphone 6s is a beast. If you are a gamer and would like to play any heavy games without worrying if the game would slow down or lag, iphone 6s or 6s Plus is a perfect phone for you.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2016Well, what do you expect from 1715mah battery? This is not ... moreHahaha need 3000mAH in a phone.
Thats why android phones are big and fat like a stone brick, hiding behind an excuse of a large screen. And they can't even use without 2 hands. I always laugh when i see android users trying to "one-hand" use their phones.. and misclick and mistakes ahahaha.. Its easier to one-hand use iPhone 6S Plus, then a Samsung S6. LOL.
Sad news is.. it still cannot match a 1.7kmAH iPhone.

ethereal, 18 Jan 2016I again tried the past night and the stand by turned out to... moreI love my iPhone 6s but must admit I have some issues with it regarding battery. Firstly the device charge time is ridiculous. It charges well enough until it reaches 90% then slows down the charge. This don't seem to be the issue with my iPhone 6 which does charge quicker. I'm not expecting the same charge time as my nexus 6p but still I would say 2hrs 30mins + is a little excessive for modern day smartphones. Also the device does drop charge over night so I would think this to be normal as I also experienced this with the iPhone 6. I have now looked up the web recently to find that apple are aware of issues regarding the battery. Don't let this put people off the device because it is one of the best available but let's hope that there is something that apple can do regarding an update. It would be interesting to find out which processor is in the devices with the issues.

I think it's something to do with your bad network, or the unit is flawed. Disable your net connection and see if it still runs your battery fast? then you know that's not the problem.

AnonD-1825, 17 Jan 2016I have disabled email fetch, not sure how much that does.
... moreI again tried the past night and the stand by turned out to be still not too impressive. This time around I disabled many things. Immediately after 100% charge I did following and put the phone on rest:
-- turned low battery mode on
-- changed email "fetch" to "manual" for all the accounts
-- dissbled background refresh for all the apps
-- few more tweaks here and there
Having done all this, I still got a drop of 6% in 11 hours which is rather unimpressive given that so much was disabled.
I do not have wifi access in my room. And I have just switched back to 2G from 3G because of excessive data bill the past month. Im sure the phone is not looking for any other network while on standby since I have explicitly marker 2G as the only available network. Not sure whats going on.

With iPad i have 30 min fetch for Mail and standby time is still great.
Maybe you have bad connection and your phone try to find LTE all the time and that ruins your battery, or do you use wifi most of time? I use.

Are you sure about that? Have you en... moreBy the way other than the iCloud account I have configured two separate gmail accounts to *fetch* emails every hour. Does that make much difference in lower standby times? 15% is really a bad figure I believe.
Also, if my unit is actually faulty what should I do about it? Visit the apple store and ask for a replacement? I am not sure whether they still have a policy (in India) to replace the faulty unit right away rather than repairing it. Just being on the safe side I already bought a separate replacement warranty to have the faulty unit replaced rather than repaired. So will that help?
