Cause it gets more light and better pictures if each individual pixel is bigger.

Try the 12MP. It will put the 23MP to shame.
So long as you do not need to print giant poster with 8k images.. (I doubt you have 5k.. let alone 8k monitors or phone screen.).. Even then you should have use a full frame DSLR for that.. it capture more details with a large sensor and a good lens.
Thats why Samsung / Apple keep at 12MP. While improving other aspects.

I live the world of Android 16 to 23 mega pixels camera and i cant just live a 12mp camera that ip7offers its a big difference. Im a photography addict but not a professional photography. This thing is the reason why i second thought of buying the ip7.

before i had an iphone 5s and it was the best phone that i had had, then buy the iphone 7 and i totally disappoint, it is a true shit .....
lie, in reality is better phone that exist, many haters say it is bad but it does not interest me

Their CPU is twice as big as e.g. a Snapdragon 835 CPU, they have Great graphics and tremendously fast NVMe storage. Those things cost money, and other chip makers don't want to invest that money.

Zack, 19 Jun 2017Yea it's sad to see ppl spend so much on a phone that doesn... moreI feel very sad for you guys. I have both Android and iOS device, Android I had been using since 2011 - Samsung Galaxy Note1 N7000 and a iphone 3GS and now I am using a new iPhone 7 since 3 months.
I still dont have any hanging issues in web browsing, texting, etc in 3gs where in, Note7 which is younger by 2 years to 3gs is hanging a lot. COmpare the specs of both the phones.
Coming to iPhone 7 - its purely a gem. At first I thought for few months, read several reviews, to invest a big money on the phone with lesser specs against the gigantic specs on the Android world. But I stuck to my instinct and went ahead with the iPhone7 to replace my Samsung phone for a reason.
I took Oneplus 3T of my colleague and kept side by side to compare the performance.
in all the tests like opening a webpage, launching WhatsApp, FB, Linkedin, Asphalt8, NFS, FIFA mobile, etc. outcome was iPhone defeated the Oneplus 3T phone - a 6GB RAM beast phone on every test we made. iPhone was really fantastic.
Real performance was not only on launching the games and Apps, using them for a while, I was able to load the games pretty quickly, the gaming performance was as smooth as butter in iPhone, but in Android I was able to see lag even in 8 Ball pool game which doesnt use extensive Graphics. Also Battery is coming roughly 24 hours on standby with 5 to 7 hours of Gaming+Music+WhatsApp+Wifi/4G connection ON, FB sync, Gmail Sync, etc etc.
While the same enabling in Android phone for 6 to 7 hours was the total battery time.
In a nut shell, we should compare the performance not the specs is what Apple phones tells us. Its out of the world experience for me in this 3 months and was really feeling bad not going for 4S against Galaxy Note 1 as they both were launched in 2 weeks gap in 2011-2012.
Great Job by the Apple R&D team for giving a wonderful slim and small beast which is beautiful.

I think apple iPhone is like windows phone. People brought it for its apple logo. Thats looking nice. No other fruits as smart as Apple or beaten apple.
