Was thinking of upgrading to an iPhone X but after playing with one I can't stand the notch and the blurry text when scrolling (inherent to OLED displays). iPhone 8 all the way!

I've been using the iPhone 8 since it came out, and I'm very happy with it, and its very fast there is nothing that slows it down, I did think as I used it more and more that it would slow down but no just has fast as it was when I had it first, I've used android phones and the iPhone is in a diffrent class

AnonD-553488, 10 Mar 2018Hi friends. I need some advice for my next phone. I have a ... morevalue for money wise, the Galaxy S9 gives you more. It has a slightly better camera, more modern design, microSD, headphone jack, more RAM, longer battery life and what not. But as you're looking for something that lasts long (which also means long software support which means security as well as the latest and shiniest features and app support), you are probably better of with an iPhone if you plan on keeping it that long. To be honest, I also keep my phones around that long, 4 to 5 years is exactly how it is with me as well. And I bought an iPhone 7 last year as an upgrade to my iPhone 5 and I'm still extremely happy with it. But what I would recommend you the most: keep your iPhone SE for another year. It is still on the side of great performing phones, and camera improvements also weren't as big to jump out of the window. The iPhone 8 is not that old of a phone, which means it is still quite expensive. The iPhone 7 is better value but comes with lower base storage. The iPhone 6s has even better value but comes with even lower base storage.

This all, of course, if money is an issue. If you already work for yourself and your bank account goes up by 500 € every month, then well, go ahead and get yourself an iPhone 8.
I am not able to do so because I am still at school.

Hi friends. I need some advice for my next phone. I have a iphone se and looking to upgrade. Here in India iPhone 8 64gb and Galaxy S9 both are available at same price of around Rs52000. I know specs wise and features wise iphone 8 looses big time against S9, but i also know perfomance wise and security wise iphone 8 should last 4 to 5 years as against around 3 years for the S9. What should I buy. I am comfortable with any OS, so thats not an issue. I am looking more from value for money and longevity as i am not going to spend 50k every few years so my phone should last me around 4 to 5 years if i spend so much.

I have as s8 and previously had an s6 and prior to that an s4. I can tell that each update keeps on improving immensely and the s8 is the best phone I have ever had. Currently running android 7. My wife has an ip8 which she likes but I would not swap with her in a fit.

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2018Which is better in term of battery life, I need a really ac... more8 will be better but the first few dys it will be working hard to download your icloud and so on, if youre on a slow connection or has 200GB icloud filled up (like a lady i know) the 8 will consume a lot of battery the first few days.

Use this method when setting up a new ip8:
                          1. On your old iPhone turn off icloud backup.
                          2. Connect old iphone to iTunes, it will autobackup.
                          3. Set up your new phone, when asked chose to restore itunes backup.
                          4. Chgange the name of your new phone (general - about)
                          5. Click on each app that didnt install (marked with a cloud symbol) to download them from Appstore.
                          6. Start each app once to finish initializing and setup as required.
Connect itunes again to sync new apps (like TV app content, your videos will not be restored from backup since TV wasnt yet installed)

iTunes backups are super fast, and you avoid days of icloud downloading.

Do you know what youre getting into? I buy android phones rom time to time to keep up with whats going on but the last Android i bought i sold the same day i received it. It has gone completely downhill and is so hard to use now that it was physically painful. Its now no doubt, android was at its best with Android 2.3, then it went down a while and up again with 4.1-4.3 but since then it has plummeted to where its current level can best be described as "useless".

If ip8 is sold out it must be a temporary thing.
