Hi everyone.
I have an iPhone 8 still as of now and it has a Battery Health fo 90% and is still in good nick.
I have a big complaint, though. I deeply regret upgrading to iOS 16 because it has slowed down my iPhone and it may be my imagination, but I believe my battery is being drained faster than it was before.
My iPhone feels so slow. This is so annoying because this iPhone has the same Chip inside of it that the iPhone X possesses and it sometimes even lags when I am typing on Apple's keyboard. This is crazy. The iPhone 8 was once capable of running intensive Mobile Games, but now it struggles to handle the simplest, lightest games. I don't know what Apple has done to the iPhone 8, but it is not like it was before. Dissapointing. My advice is to stay on whatever iOS version you are on if you have not yet upgraded to iOS 16 and never upgrade until you have to (e.g. App compatibility issues).

Come on guys this is still a good iphone it has the same a11 chip as iphone x plus the same camera so its a solid phone

Usually 2 more years work for major apps after last ios support.
One day it was gold and one day ll'be not even coal. Really technology never stop.

andwae, 08 Sep 2022I'm sorry to ask this question since I have never had ... moreNo major updates such as the current IOS 15 to IOS 16, eg. Iphone 7 cannot be upgraded to IOS 16, so iphone 8 is likely to be dropped from major updates maybe next year.
But Security updates indefinitely until 2-4 years after a technology change. Eg, Iphone 5s and 6 are both still getting security updates for major security issues. However the technology change of 32bit phones to 64 bit (iphone 5 is 32bit but iphone 5s is 64bit) meant that 32bit phones were completely dropped in 2017, 3-4 years after the change.
No security updates means being wide-open to malware/viruses often delivered through ads and pdfs but also through poisoned pics and videos, so basically impossible to avoid. Malware is one way bank accounts or crypto wallets are hacked, also email accounts such as when house sales send bank details to the buyer who then thinks the email came from the estate agent and send all the cash to criminals. And they generally don't send it back haha

I'm sorry to ask this question since I have never had an iphone before. What does it mean when they say apple will not support or update this particular iphone unit? What will happen if they will not support it anymore? Will it stop working? I have watched some review videos saying that this particular iphone I want to purchase will not get any support.
