When would Apple release update for iOS in order to address and solve Battery draining issue?
There’s a UI lag also exists.

It brought me to tears, tears of joy when I used iPhone 8+ for the first time, i was so amazed. Think to myself this is it, this is it.

It has been proved that the culprit is ios 11... moreWhat issue(s) are you having with your lovely iPhone 8 Plus? The iPhone 8 Plus — as well as the iPhone 8 and iPhone X — were designed and made to run iOS 11, so running iOS 11 on the three new iPhones should be a breeze — literally.
My grandma has an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 11.1.2, and her iPhone has no slow-downs, lag or stutter or anything like that. Apple truly does a wonderful job with not slowing down older iPhones anymore like they used to. The iPhone 5S can even run iOS 11 perfectly fine, albeit the iPhone 5S is a little slow.

It is safe to say, that the iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone X will never slow down after many iOS updates and new apps and software. The A11 is definitely future proof for at least six years at minimum.

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2017If it is iph 8 then off the true tone display They are correct: you are experiencing Apple’s new screen feature for the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus called True Tone. Only those three iPhones have this feature believe it or not. It is a very good and interesting feature, and works really well.
When I was reading some reviews about the iPhone 8 Plus before I decided to purchase one, I thought that True Tone was basically the same as Night Shift, but it is not — it is something totally different, and should always be enabled. It makes the screen change color temperatures based on the lightening around you making the screen easier to read in any kind of light; very comfortable for your eyes, and great to relieve eye-strain and stress.

yan, 22 Nov 2017You have to contact your provider to organize your caller i... moreIt sounds like to me that you may need to reboot your iPhone. Turn the phone off, and leave it off for about 30 seconds, and turn it back on. A reboot usually fixes any issues with any iOS device.
If the issue continues, give Apple a call at 800-MYIPHONE and someone will tell you what to do from there so you don’t accidentally mess something up. I actually had this problem with my iPhone SE, but a quick call to Apple made everything better again.

This is coming from someone who swore by Android — for 5 years or more, Android was the only plafrom I would use. Well I made the switch to iPhone when the iPhone 6 came out, and fell hard in love with Apple. That iPhone 6 was the best phone I had ever had; truly better than anything Android ever had to offer.
Apple doesn’t try to beat anyone really, they just want to design, make and sell the highest quality hardware and software possibly, and that is exactly what they have done. Apple didn’t invent the smartphone; they just perfected it.
So if battery life is an issue holding you back from getting an iPhone 8 Plus, please don’t worry; the iPhone 8 Plus has the best battery life of any phone out there, and that is no lie! I can use my phone all day long — and I mean heavy usage — and end my day with 50% battery sometimes. I could never get that kind of battery life and performance from any of the many, very expensive and nice Android phones I have owned in the past. I would never, under any circumstance switch to anything that was not Apple.

Now proven!
It has been proved that the culprit is ios 11 and later till date.
As per Apple support’s advice I restored my device(7+) to ios 11.1 with fresh and reserved copy of downloaded IPSW FIRMWARE on itunes.
There is no improvement in battery performance, it’s still draining abruptly as earlier with ios 11 versions.
