The screen is way to small and bezels way too big. This is what becomes apparent after using it for a while. It's ok only if you want something from Apple to text on and use maps. Battery is weak. Switched to iphone 13 and the difference is night and day.

I use only light case, my usage is very different at times. Sometimes its 20 minutes a day, sometimes it can reach 5hrs of usage ( mostly browsing or chatting and some games), I got it at mid February and its still at 100proc.
And my friend has S22 and that thing gets hot faster than my SE.

We need an iPhone SE with iPhone 11 body accompanied with a perfect LCD display.
Waiting for a long time to get a latest and large usable LCD iPhone as I can't bear PWM flickering from OLED screens.

Well the chip inside the iPhone SE may be performant, but that weak battery isn't going to let it perform for long. I have owned it for less than a year and the battery is already noticeably downgraded. If I use it for forty minutes of browsing, video watching and video call, it'll get very warm and the screen will force dim. I don't think it's a good design to have that chip in that chassis with that battery. My previous iPhone 7 in its prime didn't have those issues. I'm gonna sell the phone. As for Asus I don't know.

In Apple land, 450$ gets you a very basic smartphone. Sure it was released with the latest chip inside, but the darn weak battery doesn't let you perform but basic tasks throughout the day. Watch YouTube? Browse Twitter? Prepare yourself to charge the phone twice a day. I've had it for less than a year and the battery is already noticeably downgraded. And don't want to carry an extra external battery.
Gonna sell it and get an iPhone 13 instead.
Was even considering a Samsung A54 to save money, but don't want to go through the headache of finding the right apps all over again, if the ones I already have aren't available on Play Store. And perhaps what is free with limited features on Apple Store is paid on Play Store or contains ads.
Also how would that phone perform with everyday use over time.

I need a... moreIn terms of performance they're about the same, A15 is a bit better overall, Snapdragon has slightly better gaming performance. I suppose it depends whether you prefer iOS or Android, and if you prefer the larger screen size and AMOLED of the Zenfone 9. Asus has significantly larger battery capacity.
For me personally I would choose SE because IPS screen is more colour-accurate and better for my eyes (no PWM flickering) and I prefer a more compact phone. I like iOS more aesthetically as well as better privacy compared to Google. SE will probably get more years of software support in future.

- small
- best performance
Then the iPhone SE is the better value. The A15 is better while the phone itself is much cheaper (mainly because it has older camera/display components)
