iPhone XR was supposed to be the ‘budget’ colourful model, but it’s really the OG release and origin of the 11,12,13,14.
Hexa core still slaps and A12 was a huge jump from A10/A11 compared to current gens improvement.
Some people prefer IPS panel over OLED, this phone is just a workhorse for its age, so point upgrading if you have this model until at least 15+

Also, every company has its own ugly and wonderful phone design. You can see the iPhone SE 2022 and iPhone 14 Pro max. Or a03 core and a73 5G, or even poco m3 and redmi note 10 pro.

And don't forget to keep the phone as second phone or maybe sell it to who needs.
