No wonder apple needs so much servicing for they come with such manufacturing defects viz logic board, battery crapping out, slowed down cpu, fragile broken screen, dead phone, storage issues.
Even after selling a mediocre 300$ worth fone for 1500$ they keep earning through care+ BS and defective parts. And you will still boast about it for they provide Q service, which is also provided by all OEMs.

lets face reality:
the cpu and gpu aren't what make a phone expensive nowadays, it's the display guys. apple is trying everything to make this Xr as appealing as possible. but actually the screen is a rip off, so they can compensate for those OLED-$s apple has to pay to samsung.
it got bigger screen size than the previous non (X, or plus) iphones.
the bigger the screen size the less sharper the image , when sticking to the same resolution. (at over 6'' you will see a difference, unless you are blind... physics.)
combining that with a big notch and additionaly adding some bezels (i thought bezel-less is the new trend apple? why reverting back?, oh yeah cheap LCD, got you.) and also a chin you gonna have a fantastic 720p viewing experience that resembles that of many phones of 2013.
the nexus 5 even had a full hd display ... for 350$! Samsung galaxy S4(!!!) has even a better screen. how the hell can you justify this for 750$s ?
you can't! unless you worship apple and wont take any justified criticism whatsover, because apple can't do wrong right?

Putting my phone down to 720p i can hardly tell the difference.
Android are cheating their customers more. The support apple provides to customers is far superior to anything android manufactures provide.

Completely agree on user experience.
Apple provides great after sales warranty support, regular software and security updates.
The phone you buy will be supported for a long time.
With Android apart from Google, Nokia, and Essential you really dont know what your getting in terms of support. Especially Samsung and Huawei who are all over the place bragging, not providing enough after sales support.

That's because majority of their user-base, either don't care enough about the specs, they just want a reliable experience. Reliability often isn't cutting edge, it very well could be, but obviously Apple would choose to earn more $ per device, while compensating that with "unique" tech features and their iOS, known for simplicity, ease of use and stability.
Though I'm not so sure about the iOS anymore, it needs more big changes, and it recently isn't being very stable either... but more stable than Android - sure.
