A week ago, Apple found itself in a tough spot with its iPhone 16 series and Apple Watch 10 series banned from sale in Indonesia. The issue was a direct result of unmet investment commitments in the country, which require companies to provide 40% local content to operate locally.

In a new development, Bloomberg News reports that Apple will invest $10 million in a new factory in Bandung. The investment will reportedly be made alongside Apple’s local supplier, Yageo Corporation, with the new facility dedicated to building accessories and components for Apple devices.
