I know people who had several Samsung smartwatches but has stopped using them permanently, im telling them that AW is not like that, its actually useful and can do things people actually need, not at all useless like the rest of the smartwatches. Android and samsung smartwatches are so useless that they give AW a bad reputation too, i guess these people cannot imagine how much better the AW is and that it actually has support and apps. Garmin is the only competition to AW and then only on workout and activity (or the highly specialised D2 for aviators)

Then one day at work i caught myself checking the time three times in three minutes, that made me realise what a useless thing a watch is, i took if off and threw it in the garbage, much better, i was free. Never worn a watch since, until smartwatches started getting useful, but i never look at it to tell time unless im asked about the time. I hope you can get cured from your timepiece obsession and be free of compulsive act that has affected most people since watches became cheap enough to be owned by everyone. Its also impressive how it stimulates the bodys built in time, i frequently wake up less than a minute before my alarm goes off. Smartwatches are the only usable ones, telling time should not be its main purpose, which is why they are often referred to as wearables.
Collecting watches is more interesting, im open for that.

You cant recommend what others should buy based on your own needs and interests, its liek telling people to buy a bus instead of a sedan, most people dont need a bus or a gaming laptop, and basically noone need anything that run on windows.

I hate people who do this. Apple Watch is a convenience gadget that can do many many things and will become outdated in 5+ years or it'll be useless because battery won't hold much charge anymore. Rolex is an accessory, only tells time, but it does that reliably pretty much forever, usually has great sentimental value, can work for decades and is usually passed on through generations of users (usually father-son/daughter thing). People who wear mechanical watches (me included) wear them because they are amazing machines with zero electronics. The exact opposite of everything that is surrounding us these days. And that's what makes them so charming.

Just for example i am from Slovakia and having theses for 700 means spending 100-125% of my usual sallary. Which is not very nice. And saving 7x100 each month for just theses i rather spend 700 on hollidays my opinion.

But anyway 700 euros for watch is just too much for that you can have a very nice holidays or a good gaming laptop etc.
