blablabla, 17 Sep 2013using appmanager lll dude. u can download in the market. You can't move apps with this apps on Fonepad, even on rooted rom.

Unlucky user reporting again.
Ok, this time I'm not reporting on the bad stuff again.
After the motherboard issue, battery drain, battery "?" symbol issue (Won't charging), Micro Sd card unmount, device crash, after the exchange and motherboard replacement, now the device is very stable, using more than 2 months.
Battery Life : Well, it is great! No more battery drain issue. I put it connected to WiFi for 12 hour, without using the phablet, the battery just drained around 1%. In the endurance test, the device can last for 6 day, with everyday browsing Facebook and surfing for internet at least 1 hour.
Performance : It is slow. Yes, it is slow. But at this sort of price, this is the thing we get. Turn off the battery saver option and the phalet get more faster with less lag. For normal apps, it runs smoothly without issue. There are occasion hangs on graphic intensive game, which is quite normal on this kind of device, but it manage to run all apps that i install without any compatibility issue, just the apps load and run slower, but not big deal here.
Again, I stress test the device, for all usage, no more big issue encountered, although the phalet itself restart in some occasion, when I force it to multitask to run several task, it just won't die.
I rooted the device with WW V3.2.4 firmware, runs without a problem.
Again, for those who encounter hardware or software issue on this device, do not hesitate to get repaired at service center. Even you know the battery thing to restart the device, I advise you better check out at service center. Mine has died for 2 times, and after the replacement, now the device back to life, no more issue encountered.

To us disappointed users. There is something that I want to share for reducing lag on our device. My first experience on this device was positive but later, it became annoyingly slow. So far on the hardware, the only problem I encountered is the unmounting of memory card but it's already fixed by using a different memory card. Here are the things that I've done to make my device from annoyingly slow to usable if not faster.
1) Disable some startup apps - ES Task Manager is a useful tool for disabling unnecessary startup on your device. Already done this before my phone became slow.
2) Uninstall unnecessary apps - At first, I planned on using the device as my all around device. Meaning most of the apps that I used are installed and apps that I might use. But since it's became very slow, I decided to just use it as my phone and install only the apps that I commonly use. Uninstalling unnecessary apps made some little improvement on the speed and responsiveness.
3) Remove junk from your device - Tool I used for this is Clean Master. It's advisable to clean your device regularly.
4) Android Tuner Free - I used this tool to optimize database access and wipe dalvik cache. There is also an option for optimizing apps loading but I guess it's just the same with wiping the dalvik cache. There are lots of tools that you can use with this app, just check it out yourself.
5) Trim your device - A scheduled trim on your device can also help reducing the lag. Making this automatic is one of the best features implemented on android 4.3. There's a LaxFix Free tool on play store or you can use the one with Android Tuner (haven't tested)
6) Auto Memory Manager - Finally, the app that made dramatic change on my device. I already know this tool on my previous android but didn't bother to use it on this device until now. Install the app, run, select Fast Mode and apply settings.

Battery drain problem happens everywhere. If anyone decides to get one of this, please read the review before buying. waste of money. my brother is currently using the fonepad. after coming back from service center. it looks like going to happen soon. the battery seems to be not that durable or lasting. i have a feeling that the device will go to the service centre for second time for the 2nd change of new motherboard/battery

I have been facing an issue with auto rotate also.
It worked before i updated to the android update.
Tried to lookup if there was a fix for it.
Worst for Asus to not provide any self help on basic but important issues.

Hello everybody,
I have the asus fonepad but recently i faced a problem... sometimes iam not able to receive text messages. I have to close and restart the device in order to get any new messages?
There is no problem with the telecom company, i checked it..
Can anyone please help me?

I bought new Asus Fonepad Tablet its only 15 days and i am having problem with its WIFI as its not turning on and doesn't connects with network.
I don't have any idea what to do in this situation. So please anybody can help me .

Finally, I gave up on the fonepad. I gave it to brother. Just could not accept the speed . quite sluggish otherwise it is a good Phablet.

I got my device back from service centre. but I dont know when the symptom will come back. some owners says they still experience it though they have got their battery or motherboard changed. pretty scary. the foonepad speed is quite slow which affect the browsing loading especially with chrome browser. if you are using fonepad for listening music, watching movie and e book it is ok.
