The memory card problem is not always fonepad's fault especially on Sandisk's Memory Cards. It also happens on other mobile phone, there are only difference on behavior. On S3, it tries to remount the memory card and causes a huge battery drain while on fonepad, you have to eject it and insert it back manually. I confirmed it by using my old Kingston memory card.

Sandisk often drop off from my fonepad. I have to pop it off and back in once a day. I have been using Transend card for over a week and has no problems. Awesome.

All in all this is a good device, it has some lags but for its price range.. I am happy I own it...
Remember some problems might not entirely be device manufacturing faults ..sometimes the OS plays its role...
I am pretty happy with my device....

I wonder why asus will come out with fonepad that doesn't even can cope with simple task. running chrome browser and surf nationalgeographic website will lag. simple apps being installed such as FB, data manager and that's it.

How can I go to the option "setting" during the touch-speaking mode is on, presently I am facing lot of problem with that. Unknowingly i clicked the "touch speaking option on" in "setting" after that I cant go to the application next window with sliding touch, please help me.

Hi,friends.I don,t know how to say these word!25 pages of just complains!?I hope to the benefit of the public,it will be released!?I took the 8 mega pixel one for tests!Results:Battery too weak!Almost impossible to download,install,and activate any apps unless you go to the third parties that apps are not trustable!?None of default or pre-loaded apps work!!!?I don,t recommend this tab to anybody to make my moral obligations unbearable!I am just wondoring that the company which created the nexus google 7-2 2013 masterpiece to the market why should cause dissatisfaction of the whole users!!!?Does the asus care about content and satisfaction of its today smart costumers or not!!!?Last night I sent a mail to the asus and explained all flaws and faults!Happily they answered they would take care of it but how!!!?I expect those users write to asus about the unhidable flaws to asus!?Maybe they care and do something about remedies for it!?I hope good gsm release this in favour of the users whom are in loss!!!?Thanks!

same here...my fonepad is not detecting sim card ...i had cut the sim .... the sim card is wrking while i put it in my other mobiles...anyone knws the solution for the same???

you can get the data from your local provider or from another mobile with the same provider
for example
Name: Etisalat WEB
APN: Etisalat
all other leave blank
For MMS you need more data like server addresses etc...

i used small screwdriver to open it. I've tried using my fingers but not successful. But by using a screwdriver it can scratch the body.

I have charging issue also here. Battery drain and could not charge and boot. It shows question mark sign. Currently my device in service centre. I have searched and found that it is common problem that all fonepad user would experience. I have lost faith with the fonepad and not recommend any future owner to own it. Very lag. I just bought lenovo a3000. Far more better that this device and cheaper.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2013plis provide the detail how to open the back cover, maybe w... morei could not picture the steps but here are simply, use a needle starting from down where the out of earphone jack, you must start from this point, use a needle to open it smoothly then put any id card you have in the same place in order not to lose what you opened, do not use the needle any more, just by the id or credit card and keep forwarding through the phone edges .....

i fixed the problem of battery by myself ..... he is really a genius who discovered the solution of unplugging the battery .... i opened the rear cover using visa card and disconnected the battery cable then connect again .... it started well .... fully charged.... no question mark appeared again .... i am very happy as i did not go ASUS customer service and waste time & money after three weeks of using a new pad. thanks man .... really thanks
