Asus fonepad7 worked amazingly till my recent update on 8/9/2014. After this update, my mobile network stopped working.
Really want to slap the team from ASUS who released the official update with such an idiotic error,
Wake up ASUS before the brand image is damaged.

Im from north east indian states Mizoram,i recieved updates from ASUS for my Fonepad7 at sept 6th 2014 from wifi and after updating my tablet stop working and not recieving mobile signals.Sim card error was displayed and cannot make calls,how can i fix these problems.

after update to [WW_epad] V6.4.2 from V6.3.6, I'm unable to make calls and message but 3G is working smoothly.

just spoken to Asus helpdesk in the UK, re no text or phone after the recent 6.4.2 update, and they say they're not aware of any problem! I mentioned the posts on this site and others and they just said that's the internet for you...

don't downgrade your OS to 6.3.6.. it will destroy your IMEI.

after the update of 89 mb my fonepad is not detecting the mobile network at all.after seeing the comments i tried ,settings>call settings>more>mobile networks>network opretors>select 'choose automatically.
but its not working i am trying for past two days , plz help me , as soon as possible.

Hİ guys.. i m from turkey.. yesterday i got an update of 89 mb for my fonepad 7 me372cg which updated it to 4.4.2.....But after the update, my fonepad is not detecting the mobile network at all.. i did factory reset but still doesnt work.. should i send my phone to service ?

After updating about 89MB update your mobile network can not be work..here is the solution; settings>call settings>more>mobile networks>network opretors>select 'choose automatically...hope it works just as mine...

Asus Fonepad 7 India ME375CL/G. After the 89mb update, all gsm networks working on 1800mhz band wont function. Networks on 900mhz band shall work fine. In Mumbai, Vodafone and MTNL will work fine even after the update. However other network service providers like airtel, idea, reliance etc. won't work since they use 1800mhz band. Hoping a fix asap! Dunno how these stupid people release such updates with bugs in basic functions! Poor product and service!
