N7 will be my first tablet. Just ordered it and will be arrived in front of my door next week. It's kinda hard to get N7 in this part of the world, or the 3G model-hopeless! the wifi version is the only available in the online local store currently - thou I do really want to have the 3G version. So, a solution to get net access at any time any place: get a mifi. :) a decent mifi with dual mode GSM/CDMA option even better! And yeah, if you want to make call or text or take photo you don't have to buy a tablet. Get a phone and camera instead.

Love the device... This device is actually what changed my mind about Android. As a developer, I *will* indeed want to build custom ROM for it some time in the future... But for now, I'm overjoyed with pure Android delivered with this device out of the box.

Ali Hatam, 03 Dec 2012I don't know your answer but I know a general solution for ... moreOn my Lumia, notified that when tethering 3G connection it's will drainage U'r battery (can't find similar notification on my SGSIII). IMO handset and/or battery will be hotter and damaged faster.
I think it's OK to tether it for a little while; for a longer use my advice is using cheap portable router (like as TP Link TL-MR3040) if U already hv a 3G dongle.

Despite of your idea, will U sacrifice your battery lifetime? As based on my experience, flash disk made my N7 batt runout rather quickly. I believe USB modem will use more mAh.

turn your android phone into a wifi-hotspot and connect to it with your pad. always you will have 3G.

Don't forget to buy USB powered adapter first to connect your external devices.
