Hey... this fone ROCKS... Simply amazin... but i miss the TOUCH FLO frm my old HTC Touch... is der any softwatre i can add to get the touch flo effect??? and is on which site can i get a software to apply VIDEO's as my ringtone??? pls help... thanx in advance...

foxit reader for pdf is a good pdf reader for p320.
it also reflow the text so that u have to scroll only down not sideways.

i installed throttle launcher with touchflo and its great but i have to start it every time. can i use it as my today screen as home screen? i have downloaded the upgrade s/w of win6.1 but not installed it yet. i have few softwares and games installed and i fear if i upgrade i will have to reinstall it again. is it true or while upgrading the pre-installed games and s/w are taken up by new upgraded os? i am also not sure about how it (upgrade) will work and if it fails how to get back to older version. i am living at mofusil area that i will not get any quick service if i fail to install it properly. pl gude me how to make back-ups and install upgrade to my p320.

This device is all good to see and explore. As I connect to GPRS - I end up restarting atleast twice every day. The phone has a value on the looks and the weight. However
being a windows mobile user every day and every second - I dont see the worth in value in accessing GPRS or any other external network coverage in this instrument as I end up disconnecting and restarting the device.

What is better compared to PointUI: the today-screen integration and the extreme configurability.
What is worse: the animations (the fade effect) are much slower (I don't know how to deactivate them).
The deciding factor now would be if Throttle Launcher is a battery hog like PointUI. Let's see in time.

for all those crying bout low battery life, I guess you just need to lower screen brightness. & I personally have no problems with reception. :) fingers crossed!!
for a great new look, try "throttle launcher", it even comes with a touch theme- though I personally like the asus today screen best- sasta (on memory), sundar & tikaoo!;)
& hey dude- ofcourse it comes with handwriting recognition- 2 software... called letter recogniser & transcriber. check your facts b4 u post man.

recently i bought this mobile, after a 2 days left i felt so bad coz of the reception and battery life. it has all main features in low price thats why i bought it, but the reception is bad, Suppose u r in city like chennai, bangalore it will work inside the building. but not good out of cities.
And the gps without navigation software useless. never think abt asus mobiles plz stay away..... its has problem in main things so dont admire with the features.

Hi All,
I purchased this PDA as a gift for my wife on her b'day after reading some of the reviews on the net. But I am really sorry and sad to tell you that it really sucks, big time!
I will list down all the problems that I faced with this mobile until now.
First of all, the phone's battery was defective. The phone used to go to some kind of sleep mode and never woke up unless it was restarted, imagine, restarting the operating system!
After a couple of visits to the showroom, they decided to replace the battery. However, that didn't solve the 'other' problems that we faced.
As a mobile, the ASUS P320 has absolutely low reception power and very less clarity. Feels as if a turbine is fitted next to it while you speak to the person who is using it at the other end.
Later when we took the mobile to the service dept, they informed that there was a firmware update that was needed. The noise problem reduced to a good extent after the so called firmware update was done by the service centre guys. But little did it resolve the reception issues. For example, whenever I try to reach my wife, it says 'out of range' or WORSE still, the crap thing just rings and rings and that 'ring' is only heard to the caller, which is me and does not 'actually' ring at the other end. How great is it?
As for the rest of the features, we didn't do much of an investigation, but as a mobile, it sucks!
This is my sincere opinion about this mobile as a user. Please, for heavens sake, for all of you who intend to buy this mobile, you might want to try some of the other good brands out there before you lay your hands on this one. Stay away!

Rohan, 06 Oct 2008I got through most of the reviews abt this phone. every one... moreI like this device because it has a nice form factor, light and affordable. An excellent entry windows mobile pocket phone with GPS, Wifi, GPRS, 2mp camera, voice commander, and has micro SDHC.
Perfect? Heck, No.. Simply a work in progress and certainly I would change to other devices in due time...
Okay, it may have weak signal strength and battery life could be better when compared to some other devices, but P320 users have learnt to work around such issues.
Anyway, you have to make your own choice and good luck to you...

I got through most of the reviews abt this phone. every one said this phone worth for money, of course, its true. But why don't u never discuss abt the signal strength and battrey life. my frnds comments are it has very poor signal and need to charge twice in a day. this phone doesn't have handwriting software. what was the use of mobile with poor signal strength whatever its has all featured and low cost. never satisfied coz the signal reception and battery life.

I've tried PointUI and found it taking huge amounts of RAM and battery power and since it also hanged when certain incompatible functions were selected, I decided to uninstall pending a more stable version...
Why not uninstall these two apps one by one and monitor your power drain issue.

I have been using this phone with POintui and S2U2, not able to crack the battery usage problem I seem to be having. Its lasts for two days mostly. Sometime it just sucks the life out in 5 - 6 hours. I put the device to turn off backlight in 15 seconds and turn of screen in 30 seconds but I still get those battery drain issues.
