Murali, 09 Sep 2008Hello t-dome!
My woes started right from the time i was ... moreIf you ran a Mario game in black and white like a demo then it is fine :) . The Game Boy actually had no colors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_boy
PocketGnuboy can also emulate the Game Boy Color (ROMs with the extension *.gbc) but I never tried such games because I know only the original Game Boy from the 90s and I'm nostalgic to that.
You must first configure the keys in the emulator.
Do it like that:
A key on the game boy -> mapped to the left softkey
B key -> middle key (enter)
Select key -> Windows Start Menu key
Start key -> OK key.
Then when you start a game press START (OK on the Asus) or the keys A or B until something happens...
Maybe its easier to get used to the game boy if you try an emulator for the PC first. Try GNUboy (there are many).

And I believed that the P320 ran at 200Mhz, but was kinda shocked/sad to see that TCPMP says it runs only at 170Mhz...
No wonder the phone seems sluggish! Where can we see its actual processor speed?
Any ideas on how to overclock? but it might be a bad idea coz the battery life is average at best, already...

t-dome, 09 Sep 2008Hi Murali!
Where did you have problems running the GB ga... moreHello t-dome!
My woes started right from the time i was searching for the right games... there seem to be so many: GBA, GBS, Nintendo 64, NES, SNES... i wonder which one to choose... and next once i download, i dont exactly know how to run them too....
I tried a mario game, but it doesnt let me play, and runs like a demo... Also it was in black and white... I'm sure im making a mistake somewhere...
So i need the right file first, then i need the right way to execute it :)
And I'm relieved to know that the phone hanging after consecutive shots with the camera is a global issue... I actually thot my fone was defective :P
Hope they fix this in future patch releases!

Murali, 01 Sep 2008Hey t-dome,
Im yet to perform the upgrade to the latest ... moreHi Murali!
Where did you have problems running the GB games?
PocketGnuboy has an odd bug when opening ROM files, in that you cannot select any directory. It proposes a list of directories that it can open and you have to copy your ROM files in one of those and make sure they have a proper extension. I copied mine to \Storage Card\KITS and renamed them to *.gb.
So far I finished Super Mario 2 in about 6 hours, now I am playing Wario Land 2. The emulator is just brilliant.

I just updated the firmware to 4.10 with a borrowed A-Data card (mine is a Kingmax and indeed it doesn't work :-) ). So far I see no difference but I hope the system will be more stable while taking photos; there I had some lockups before with the previous version.

The Touch Screen becomes activated on receiving a call so that you may be able to use the soft buttons to answer or ignore the incoming call.

Hi everyone, I am wondering if someone could help me with this. I recently bought this phone, and so far loving it. This is the first touch screen phone I've used and one problem is: After i lock the phone, the touch screen and buttons are inactive. (good). Once my phone starts ringing, the touch screen becomes active again. I often keep my phone in my purse something will bump onto my screen before i reached for it. Anyways to prevent that? Is that with all touch phones?

Besides that, having your laptop around in order to use internet on your phone pretty much defeats the purpose. Not sure why Adobe Reader won't install on your device, but you could try a free alternative called PocketXpdf - it works on most of my documents.
