    Hi Vaibhav,

    You should have recieved a letter with the SatNav software regarding your software key, if you do not have that letter, chances are you have counterfeit software

      since i have got the phone i am not able to start or got hoe to activate/license key for gps, which according to the dealer was lifetime free. please help me activating of the gps as soon as possible. also i had some conversation with mr. murli from satnav on this he marked that the license key which i was provided is wrong and check with the dealer whereas dealeer is denying changing the same and helping in solving the problem

          What is that GPS Catcher Appn in GPS

          Does it also require Satguide or It requires GPRS connection..

              1. In WM6.1, you can only see SMS's in threaded mode. Some people see that as a plus, although it is pretty irritating for me!

              2. This should not happen under normal usage. Try switching the target back to the main memory to see if that still happens.

              3. Sure - just go to Start -> Settings -> Personal tab -> Lock to set it up.

              4. Again not sure why that is happening. When this happens, go to the My Documents folder to see if the partial file is actually there, before you accept the prompt. I think the file transfer should only start after that.

The SatGuide software is supposed to be bundled along with the P527 phone. It looks like your vendor did not give you the original software (which comes on its own MicroSD card), and that the ASUS CSR you spoke to was not aware of this. Go back to your dealer, or try calling back ASUS again.

                  the satguide software has been updated for OS6.1 , the satguide team told me.. and the gave me link to download the new 6.1 compatible software.. but i had roll back to OS 6 so didnt use the link..

                  u can mail satguide team to gv u link .. download the software n install it.... use the old licence n key ...
                  it wll work...
                  & if u dont hav satguide key.. just insist ur dealer to give it..

                    Hi,
                    One Month Back, i purchased P527, which was not bundled with SatGuide GPS Software. So i mailed ASUS support. They told me that after spending 15000/- Rs., I have purchased phone only, not Phone with GPS software bundled.
                    Now I have to purchase GPS software separately. I have checked on net and found two softwares,
                    1. SatGuide's - One India Map (Rs. 2183/-)
                    2. Map My India - iNav Loaded (Rs. 3490/-)

                    Please suggest me which one is best in terms of functionality.

                      The dealer told me..Satguide is yet to come up with usage & support for WM6.1.

                      He's asked me to wait for more 2 months to use Satguide from my phone.

                      May be this is the reason..

                          HI Friends,

                          I own the Asus P527 PDA.

                          Bought this 1 recently..It already has WM 6.1

                          I have the following queries, can someone plz shed some light on the issues ::

                          1. How can i view SMS in normal mode. It is viewed as conversation like in E-mails.

                          2. The pictures i click get saved in MMC, but after 2-3 days i find the pictures and also the folders dissappeared... This has happenned twice.

                          3. Can the keypad be locked using a code like in Nokia handset's ?

                          4. When i recieve a file using the bluetooth, it directly starts tranferring to the phone and asks me later if i want to save it or not ? which is very risky i think. Is there a solution to this, where like in normal Nokia handsets it'd ask me 1st n then recieve files. ??

                          I'd really appreciate ppl replyin as this is my 1st WM handset and i'm a bit confused using the trail n error method.

                            hi all.

                            i downloded that zip of OS 6 .. and it was easy after that.. i got back OS 6 .. all applications are working fine including satguide..win 6.1 was better but 6 made my all aplication run..

                            i still have a doubt that if i was wrong at the point that satguide didnt work with OS6.1,
                            anyone other faced this problem with 6.1?

                            and one question plz..
                            How to change the font color? is it possible?
                            coz with white background white fonts dosnt work..

                              hi all...
                              can anyone help me to roll back from OS6.1 to OS6, OS6.1 is working fine but there is one application called satguide for navigation is not working with 6.1, satguide team told that its not compitable with 6.1,that i didnt know b4 upgarding..

                              please help on this issue..

                                Hi All,
                                I will tell you what! I had upgraded to Win 6.1, but thought otherwise and resorted back to Win 6 and I had my share of woes during this process which one can read a few opinions below.
                                Now now now, I am of the opinion that Win 6.1 is better than version 6 and of course I don't use streaming videos and hence I won't comment o this issue.

                                The main advantage I found over v6.0 is that Wi-Fi is working well here and I seriously don't know why the same Wi-fi connection at home is not working as expected with v6.1!!!
                                Hence v6.1 it is...

                                  I think we are taking the wrong way out, we need to let ASUS know about the issue encountered after the upgrade, so that they can release a updated bug fix update, anybody has any ideas, please post, maybe we can have a online petition and send it to them

                                      For your problem,I am sorry that last reply is not detailed.May I ask you whether you installed the third-party software?If yes,please remove it for a try.Kindly suggest that you can use hard reset to exclude the OS' abnormal for a try.Here is the method of hard reset:press Jog Dial up + Reset at the same time. Be notified, hard reset is more like to reinstall OS, so backup the data before the process, please.If the problem is still on,please feedback me you system information(Rom Version,Radio version,Extanding version).I will help you have a check for further.I am sorry to make you any trouble and inconvenience.

                                        I have been using this Phone for now over 9 - 10 months and I am really happy with this one. The phone has almost all features and the performance is also good. I don't find my Nokia N82, and N95 so attractive as this one. I have used SE Walkman phones also but I don't like it overall expect the music features.

                                        Anyways for problems regarding this phone about upgrading it to 6.1 email Asus from VIP membership from www.asus.in. Before you become a VIP member you need to register your phone. Send them a technical email and it will be solved within 24 hrs. The after sales services of Asus can be compared with DELL.

                                        They are really good at least way better than stupid NOKIA. I have to wait 2 months before I got back my Nokia phone after submitting in Nokia Care.
