Asus ROG Phone III 12GB RAM variant surfaces on Geekbench

An unknown Asus device bearing model code I003DD and believed to be the ROG Phone III popped up on Geekbench last month with 8GB RAM. Now another Asus device (I003D) which is likely another version of the same phone has passed through the benchmark database and it has 12GB RAM.

Just like the 8GB RAM variant, the 12GB version runs Android 10 and has Snapdragon 865 SoC at the helm, but other than this Geekbench doesn't reveal any other details about the smartphone.

There's no word from Asus about the launch date of the ROG Phone III yet, but reports coming out of Taiwan suggest the smartphone will be released in July alongside the ZenFone 7, which is plausible since the ROG Phone II was announced in July last year.

Not at all. Hope the camera is just a basic one, dont needs these useless extras on a 'gaming' phone. And the larger the better. Right now 6.9 screen size is where its at, hopefully they can go a bit bigger so it fits my hands properly.

Would be nice if they packed up a decent camera and not make it as big and heavy as a brick, for me the reason i don't really overlook gaming phone is their gigantic size, it's inconvenience to bring it around in your pocket

That's debatable. I can neither confirm if it's right nor wrong, so I won't add my opinion on it. All I'm saying is that 16 gigs is useless.
