i always realize i want a great camera setup too.
But everytime i look at the gaming specs and the render picture, i getting love the rog 5 phone and forget again about camera thingy

Honestly, had this phone since about July, it's still going strong with no issues whatsoever. I take extra care to take care of it, I think I've only ever dropped it once. Got a case off Ebay for it for £10ish, does the job.

I bought one of these bad boys soon after launch and have been really happy with it. Unfortunately, the screen started failing (blue 'ink spots' spreading from bottom of screen), so I took it to my local ASUS service centre where they told me that they wouldn't honour the warranty because it was purchased overseas. They also made up a lie about the local model having different internals/screen to my overseas version (which is complete nonsense). So, I have been left to fix my $1,000 phone myself.
Be aware of ASUS's desire to not honour their own warranty if you buy one of their products.

Guys, I'm planning to buy this phone.
Please suggest if I should go for the 8gb128gb variant or the 12gb256gb variant? I'll use it mostly for multimedia like browsing, youtube etc with occasional gaming.

Can anyone that owns a ROG 5 confirm that you can change the bottom USB-C port’s default functionality (via USB debugging) so I can connect it to my DJI drone controller & still use the primary side USB-C port to output video to AR smartglasses like the Epson Moverio BT-40.

My ROG 5 phone suddenly unable to charge the battery anymore after 5 months usage even not heavy gaming, drops on floor or done any physical damage to it. Service center inform me they changed the whole new motherboard. I guess more than 50% ROG 5's user faced random problems, is this phone even go though proper QC and price is not cheap .......
