ROG 3 some people still have a black crush issue haunt them even to this day so no stay away from ROG 5 at launch until more people start using it and then you can decide after see all the issue
ROG 3 took forever to fix black crush issue

Every specs are great in ROG Phone 5 except 395 pixel density which is very low and 1080p screen resolution, it should have 1440p. Also its not water resistant. I always wanted to buy ROG phones but its out of my budget.

the corners of the display its so rounded it cuts off significant game image. asus did a bad job with the display design. there previous phone weren't tht bad with the edges.

After all it's a gaming beast. You get embedded air triggers along with motion gestures and on the top of it you get the advantage of 144Hz with a customized copper cooling chamber with a magnum 6000Mah battery. And with the new bypass charging you can, play PUBG while connected to the charger but directly charging your CPU not the battery making your battery life last longer.
And on the top of it, you at a price of iphone you can upgrade for storge capacity & RAM.

wasiminamdar, 12 Mar 2021if speaker is 21% louder than previous gen why it doesnt co... moreits not 21% louder, it pushes 21% more power, this power is used to produce lower notes, look at the frequency response, it has the best response of any rog but the rog 2 remains the loudest.

flagshipper, 13 Mar 2021nah, noone can see those tiny extra pixels. it's just ... moreIt depens on the screen size. this phone has only 395ppi which is not high at all. it's standard even on 250$ phones. heck my 2018 phone that cost 250$ back then has 460ppi. you can 100% spot pixels with a magnifing glass on 395ppi. you must be blind like a bat if you can't see them.

flagshipper, 13 Mar 2021nah, noone can see those tiny extra pixels. it's just ... morei definitely can see , currently i have m11 and rog 3 , it's definitely visible, i suggest you work a week or more with a phone with higher resolution you will understand what I'm saying, small text are more clear even at 20cm distance , pictures are look better , i remember some was saying that with 720p and 1080p also back in time but i suggest to check a 720p phone display now :)

I maybe wrong but didn’t Gsmarena mention asus working with snapdragon to build a dedicated gaming phone? Is this the gaming phone they were talking about?

Theoretically (though they certainly did not do this) they could have just driven the speakers harder (at a higher wattage) and claimed 21% louder

sadegh, 12 Mar 2021phone is perfect in every way but there is one question why... morenah, noone can see those tiny extra pixels. it's just imagination. i cannot see new pixels above 1080p, and i tested it even with magnifier, watching carefully the corners of graphical objects or letters.. still couldn't spot difference!

if speaker is 21% louder than previous gen why it doesnt come in speaker test for excellent ? it still just GOOD. can anybody please advise ?

Everything is top notch. But where the heck is Qi Wireless charging. Why do these phone giants undermining such great feature. I do not complain, but at such premium price giving a wireless or AirVooc like feature wud be complimenting.

I don't know for someone to buy this expensive phone just for the sake that they can afford or they just impractical when they just used this mostly on text and call.

By any chances,should I buy this phone (ROG 5) or Iphone 11? I'm very satisfied with fast charging on android,but I want to try Iphone too because many PUBGM Pro Player use Iphone.I'm a PUBGM player,so gyro means alot for me.Both of them are a good phone

phone is perfect in every way but there is one question why they didn't upgrade the resolution??
stop those nonsense answers , our eyes can't see more pixels or something , right after we use a phone with higher resolution we can see those small pixels specially for texts ,we even don't need to watch display closely we can notice right away, plus games are a lot more beautiful on higher resolution , genshin Impact on mi11 is so gorgeous compare to rog phone 3 , i definitely can go for 120hz and a better resolution than 144hz and FHD
