hopefully asu lowers prices or ups specs next year by a lot (24gb ram lets say 2tb storage)

Got one of these a week ago. Charges from 10% to 100% in less than an hour as advertised. On a regular setting, battery lasted for 2 days through phone calls, intermittent streaming, and playing genshin impact.

Gaming phones don't have to deal with 100gb games so 256gb of storage is way more than enough. Besides, there are few mobile games that's over 10gb in size, and you'll probably only have a few big games in your phone anyway.

Also not sure why you compare a PC to a phone, and windows 10. We talk about android here and phones.

I have been thinking long and hard about this smartphone
The asking price is very high even for a flagship smartphone
i think even as good as this smartphone and it is very good
Its competitors are just to good
and here lays the problem
i can nearly buy both the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro & ZTE nubia Red Magic 6s Pro for the same price of the asu rog 5s pro
why i have 1 flagship gaming smartphone at this price when i can have 2 flagship gaming smartphones for same kinda price
sorry asu dual snapdragon next time maybe or better price

Ethan, 17 Nov 2021A phone only need 512 gb's of storage,literally 2x the... moreNo offence but 256gb not a lot of storage, I have 4 storage units on my gaming pc, 2 ssd's and 2 hdd, a 256gb ssd is only enough to hold windows 10 plus every file/folder needed plus having a little extra space to make sure your pc runs smoothly. Trust me 256gb is definitely not enough for a pc that's used for more than just browsing the Web or writing up word documents.
It would be enough for most peoples phones but if someone wants to run an emulator with big games it may be pushing it but idk as I don't do that with my phone. I game on my desktop.

still a really good phone i just wish asus not cheap out on storage + no sd card slot just makes it worse

Am not being unreasonable here
If i was buy 1500 pound it need be desktop replacement class smartphone given the price tag and the year we are in its at the end of 2021 by now 1tb & 2tb gaming phones really should be a thing
The reason why i want big storage like laptop is because
i want load it with Virtual Machines i want run windows games on it in windows emulator also linux mint emulator and even a vmos android emulator that has rooted android inside
There is a lot good things about the asu rog phone as i know it can have a keyboard and mouse plug into it to play games (hand full of adapter needed} it only really lacks in storage
storage problem only thing that really holds the phone back
asu should have the best snapdragon 888plus silicon lottery winner snapdragon are put in asu rog phones however
only other problem no fan really asu the cheaper ZTE nubia Red Magic 6s Pro & Lenovo Legion 2 Pro
Anyways I look forward next years gaming phones line up hopefully 1 tb & 2tb options be out soon
in the end of the day it all comes down to
high price has to match high expectations
