1. 4K resolutions, only Sony smartphone is releasing in 4K, but do you know why even Samsung just settle for 2K? It is because you won't get any benefits from 4K unless you want to use your phone as Virtual Reality screen. Then, 4K is eating more battery life, more expensive to made than 1080p screen. Then, 2K or 4K screen also add load to GPU, which cause frame drop when running games. You need to consider the trade off for running 4K.
2. Camera can said be an expensive thing to add if want better camera, either from hardware and software. That is why Samsung and Huawei smartphone is so much expensive with inferior specs.
3. Removal of Micro SD is already become a trend. You should blame on Apple iPhone and whole smartphone industry. Even long time supporter like Samsung also start to remove the support. Other manufacturers are removing it without hesitation, not just ASUS implement it. So please be fair when want to consider this as cons, because it is an industry trend, not ASUS own's will. I agree nobody is complaining about having Micro SD slot, but manufacturers are removing it due to overall low usage when smartphone's internal storage become bigger and bigger(global usage data, not saying nobody is using Micro SD card) and of course for the cost cutting.

i think the only things they could improve with this phone is the screen resolution, which is lower than a few other phones, Sony has a 4k phone, making the camera work better, i've heard a few complaints about the camera, and adding a storage slot. otherwise i think this is the best phone out there. change my mind, I DARE YOU :D

1. I dropped the phone from a height of ~20 inches (50cm) onto a soft wood floor, outside glass didn't break, but inner pixel broke; I have had all kinds of other phones (IPHONE 4-7, ONEPLUS 6 and 6T, OPPO Find X, XIAOMI Redmi, HUAWEI P20) and the inner pixels won't break that easily from that height...
2. The phone itself is much more heavier than others, making inner pixels even easier to break from dropping
3. The maker of the screen is from China (tianma, http://usa.tianma.com/) and is known for making low quality phone screens
