Interesting people in the comment section concerned about small phones not selling. That's not your issue so what's your point? Get a job at ASUS if you're concerned about sales numbers. There are people who like small phones and this is great.

I hope the money they make from selling a phone with 256gb for $200 more (when that's like $10 on Amazon) is worth the frustration they've foisted upon everyone else.

I hope they make it even smaller next year and include SD card slot.

Only Sony seems to be doing that on flagships.

                  They do stand out

an excellent phone that lacks a very important feature. This is sd card port. Asus please fix it on next model and see your sales to go up and up

Just sharing a few thoughts. Send a Pixel 8 back and got the Zenfone 10 (Sony 5 V does not work here in the US, and the Samsung Software makes the S23 a non starter).

The Pixel 8 is about the same price (well, if you consider the included charger for the ZF10 then it's more expensive). Anyway, there are two main reasons why the Pixel 8 lost out. One is the external design (a 4mm standing out ledge ?), and then the camera. There is no pro mode on the Pixel 8 (every now and then I want to be in charge of shutter speed), and many of the AI marketed features are available on the ZF10 as well throu a Google One subscription. I would suspect that after the novelty wears off, quite a few of the Pixel 8 Pro features will be available throu Google One as well.

There are a few minor nitpicks with the ZF10 software, like "why can I not save raw images ?". And "why does the camera force me to use their Gallery instead of Google Photos ?".

What I wish Asus would do for a ZF11 is to go all out with the next camera sensors on the rear (just keep the current geometry and don't waste resources on a me-too lousy telephoto)., And instead of dual SIM, go for a shared SIM + microSD slot, and add ProRes 422 support to the Video.

In general I do like the tradeoffs they made a lot. No stupid glass back (supposed to feel more premium, but polycarbonate (aka plastic) is just way more practical. The fingerprint sensor in the power button beats the in screen one any day for being more practical.

It's more like a light lilac or something

This phone would be *perfect* for me....except that it doesn't support Verizon. Thing is, most professional reviews say it "only works on AT&T and T-Mobile". Unfortunately, it doesn't work on AT&T, and it only partially works on T-Mobile (both due to failures of the networks, not the phone). Why are sub-6" phones such taboo these days? Heck, smart watches are starting to approach the size where I would just use one of those instead of a phone altogether...
