This phone would be *perfect* for me....except that it doesn't support Verizon. Thing is, most professional reviews say it "only works on AT&T and T-Mobile". Unfortunately, it doesn't work on AT&T, and it only partially works on T-Mobile (both due to failures of the networks, not the phone). Why are sub-6" phones such taboo these days? Heck, smart watches are starting to approach the size where I would just use one of those instead of a phone altogether...

BOYCOTT all phones with no SD ... moreSharp as well (Aqous R7s does have micro SD card despite being SD gen 1, R8 still JP only smh).
Thing is Sony tends to overheat phones and their stability is not the finest (in terms of stress mark).

Been loving it so far, the price is 30% cheaper than S23 in my country and the cheapest 8 gen 2 so far. Worth every bucks

BOYCOTT all phones with no SD card slot or 1TERABYTE of storage its ridiculous and a 2.3 jack all I'm the box ....I'm not buying a Samsung a 54 to spend another 120..130 euros in a charger a cover even a USB cable cos the one in the box is trash is not the nest for your phone yes it's TRUE verify...lame
So we have sony the real smartphone company, problem price...sony take your prices down buy 20% and you will rule smartphones I I industry

I know not ... moreWill agree with both of you, I expected that the 512Gb had the Eclipse Red colour but it only had black, white and green. And also, MicroSDXC, I.NEED.IT. It's such an important thing for myself seriously but hey at least it has the 3.5mm jack (Samsung, Xiaomi, wake up), and a charger (literally almost every single phone manufacturer, COME ON!!!)

I know not everyone uses them or even needs it, but it's a requirement for me and my music/media collection. As someone that travels and doesn't always have access to streaming music, it's far more convenient just to have my collection readily available.
Shame so many companies get rid of it, but I guess my demographic is so few that they don't care.

what a great combina... moreI'd say a very good phone. Only if other color variation of 512 GB storage also available. 128 GB is kinda troublesome (especially if you have a third of that storage just for music files). Also it might be confimed that the Zenfone line will continue.
Sidenote: Someone compared this camera with Zenfone 9, camera wise this is better. Video? Interestingly Zenfone 9 is (60 fps v 30 fps)
