xslvrxslwt, 30 Jun 2023Yes, it is slow and expensive when your brain is also slow ... moreHave you said anything positive on this site? Ever? To anyone? Who are you to know whats the situation with people in their countries? And who are you to call them names because they opt to use something different then you? MF Serbia is not the only country in the world with lower living standards. But thats not the issue. The issue is your behavior. You are attacking people because they have different opinions and needs then you.

Have a bloody good day

Read an article on 9to5google (https://9to5google.com/2023/08/26/asus-zenfone-series-ending-report/) that said that this could be the last Zenfone. Does anyone have any info on this? A few hours after this article was posted, there was another one from Gizmochina, saying the same thing.

In short, it's not worth the money. I used it for a week and I'm going to sell it.

I'm already compromising on the number of software/security updates it gets, but now the long-term quality is also worrying me - specially when I'm going to pay a premium to have it imported.

This madness of removing the headphone jack and having holes and islands on the displays is sad. I wish I hadn't given away my Pixel 3a.

AnonD-1114487, 17 Aug 2023I am considering buying a Xperia - most likely the 5 V when... moreSony absolutely doesn't give a shit if their phones work as long as idiot influencers reading the spec sheet on YouTube think they're luxurious. "On the box" features will be buggy in early versions of the OS and then completely gone later. If they have widespread problems (4K display battery drain, missing certification for cellular bands, erratic fingerprint readers, incorrect cellular features, incorrect OS config) they'll 'fix' it by deleting the feature in a update. If you send it in for warranty repairs, they'll void your warranty for fabricated reasons. Check XDA and Sony's own forums.

My Xperia 1 III photos look bad, I often have no cell signal, the phone randomly overheats when it's locked, apps won't run in the background, GPS reception is fading, the fingerprint reader is failing, and it's overall miserable to use.

Anyways, I've placed an order for a ROG Phone 7. Think the Zenfone 10 is more refined for daily use but compact phones like this have fewer cellular bands. The ROG 7 will travel better.

RS, 10 Aug 2023Hi does anyone know if zenfone 10 support usb ethernet? In the settings there is indeed ethernet. I did not manage to use it like on most smartphones. Apparently it's just for the hotspot.

Thank you. Seems long-lasting enough based on your experience. I'll wait for 5 V to get a good processor. Putting SD695 in the 10 V was the only deal breaker for me! Hope it's decently priced, I'll be importing it.

AnonD-1114487, 17 Aug 2023I am considering buying a Xperia - most likely the 5 V when... moreI have a Xperia 10 V...about longevity, I had two Xperias previously, those were quite endurable and stubborn to die (Wanted another but those kept working fine, hahaha), if you are a careful person, last for 2 years, easily. My Xperia M2 lasted for 4 years, still works, but it is too old now, used it for almost three years and kept using as Dev phone.

My only complain about 10V is the really shitty camera, I think my old Asus might do better, I don't like it.

Also the RAM management on Xperia is pretty aggressive, at least on my 10V, I can'y use the normal Spotify, have to use the lite version, so it won't keek closing if I alternate between two other applications, the UI becomes a bit crashy with it...not sure whats wrong with that app.

Appart from that, well constructed phone, works well, good reception.

Your comment is kind of worrying me. What shape is your 10 III in that you call it 'dying' and need another phone? Is it that bad? How are Xperias in terms of longevity?

oha, 08 Aug 2023According to what I read on internet that some active types... moreI like the headphone jack because it's easy. Do I buy a dongle for every headphone or carry one with the phone. What if I need to listen to music and charge at the same time for long flights? That's a different and much larger 'T' dongle. I also have to be extra careful to not bump the phone while a USB adaptor is in it because it's fragile. What a fuss to deal with because a marketing idiot wants to copy Apple/Samsung.

Don't even get me started on phones that have only 128/256 GB RAM. People say it's premium flash that's soooo much faster than a microSD slot. People say use the cloud. You know what's really not fast? Trying to move gigabytes over a rural cell signal while you're away from home.

This phone would be perfect if it had a microSD slot or 1TB. At 512GB... maybe. I need some storage for offline maps, music, and backups. My sad Sonly Xperia 1 III is dying like it's already 10 years old so I need something soon.

I've had my Z10 for 2 weeks now and I am very impressed by it. I actually had the Z9 but got rid of it as I thought the Z8 that I had at the time was better. So, I've had the Z8, Z9 and now I have the the Z10. The phone is a big improvement in from the Z8 in every way. The audio is fabulous as well as the UI, the camera and the battery life. I can't fault it. I recommend this one, and congratulate ASUS for producing this model. I got the 512GB model as it's useful on trips away. Hope this is useful for anyone thinking about buying one.
