I have no big issue with My Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML... EXCEPT for the very annoying GHOST TOUCH on screen, which also happened to other users of Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. I might not buy any ASUS phone anymore

      NO, NO and NO.
I did that mistake to buy the phone for my mom as I tought a 65 years old women dont need the fastest and most powerfool smartphone.
All that she needs is a normal phone to run Viber, FB and take few snapshots, thats it !
Well this is too much for this phone, battery drops from 90 to 0, camera is freezing, need restart few times per day .... you are not buyng a phone, you are buying a problems!

For the people who asking Marshmallow Update, download update manually from this site there is no OTA works fine without any problem and performance tweaks.
              https://www.asus.com/zentalk/ph/thread-98381-1-1.html
              1.download this file :UL-Z00A-WW-4.21.40.134-user.zip.
              2. paste it root directory of internal memory. not in downloads folder.
              3. restart ur phone. u will get notification to update.
              4. click Update, it will take nearly 20 to 30 mins.
it will work without any bugs and u will get a 75mb OTA update for security patch. and install it. thats all marshmallow is done

Not gonna buy any asus phone ever again, since this is my first ever smartphone i thought that this phone is quite cool with it's spec and it's a standard for a smartphone, after i change my phone to other products i just realized how stupid i was, lmao.
4 gb ram doesn't really matter, still slow, not optimized. new phone got 3 gb of ram, smooth like baby's butt.
intel proc just worse, well not the worst tho but still it suck.
playing multi games with friends, lag, my friend use samsung s4 and it's smooth as heck, really!!!??? at first i thought it was the matter of my internet connection but it seems that's not the case, my new phone can play it just fine.
i planned to bought zenfone 3 before but i changed my mind, i'm just glad that i'm not captivated with it's 'high spec' or else i'll regret it for years to come.

I don't know about zen 3 performance tho but i just hope that asus is not only showing it's 'superior' spec as their main selling point and turns out that the performace of their phone is a disaster.

AnonD-633873, 16 Jan 2017I bought the ze551ml (the one with 2.3ghz intel/4gb of ram)... moreI'm also thinking of getting this device but I'm getting the special edition one. Currently I have the S4, and after seeing the camera result of the Selfie I'm bit disappointed with the image taken with it. The photo was dark knowing the Selfie have a better camera spec compared to the S4. I must say the S4 have a better camera compared to the Selfie after viewing the photos in a laptop. So I'm still undecided if I should go and buy the Zenfone 2 Special Edition.

I bought the ze551ml (the one with 2.3ghz intel/4gb of ram) about 6 months ago and so far I am loving it. It is by far the best phone I've owned (my previous phone was the galaxy s4). It has great features. it runs smoothly and is very snappy. I used stock lp, then went to mm and now I'm on CM 14.1 running android 7.1.1 and I absolutely love it. Of course it has some problems, the battery could last longer and the camera, even though when it has light it works briliantly when it takes low light photos it lacks a bit of quality. Overall I think it is a really good phone and recommend people who are looking to buy this to do so

AnonD-629140, 06 Jan 2017The problem you had Marshmallow, what version of Marshmall... moreThe problem with zf2 MM starts from many aspects, battery drain is the main one. It just drains too fast, 100 to 90 in a blink, when using LP can go almost twice the time.

I have to admit, many bad reviews, but the cause is not unknown : using heavy load tasks while using 9v fast charging. 80% chance u will damage the touchscreen and lcd.

No smartphone will survive 4 years, let alone the battery it self. Phones with fast charger have shorter lifespan. I predict this phone can go up to 2 years more max. Unless they kill Lollipop this year. Then bye bye zf2. MM really kills this phone. Trust my words.

Anonymous, 07 Jan 2017how you do reverse update from marshmallow to lollipop?download from asus official website and put it in your sd card. Will update it self. Because as an update version it is later than MM update, but the OS is LP. So the phone will recognize it as an update but actually a downgrade.

The battery life is so bad i just play 1 stage on Brave Frontier and i lost 12 pct battery vs my S7 which does the same battle but loses 1pct. Regardless of how much speed you get that battery life is only about 30 minutes on mines.

Hi guys, I recently bought Asus Zenfone 2 Z00AD (1.8ghz/32gb/4gb RAM) and i was impresssed about every aspect from this phone, premium build & HIgh-end specs. But after weeks of using it, the heating issue and the battery draining part really turns me off. Like I have to charge it more frequently unlike my recent Huawei phone. Done all the updates including the latest .223 firmware, OS upgrades to MM, and system battery saver but its not enough to last a day. Hope guys from ASUS don't abandon all of their recent flagship device that badly needs some stable updates to have a much better performance as they promised. .

As prepared as I was when I bought the for I was not prepared for the issues that it brought. Main issue was that any update from Asus immediately caused my phone to crash and forced me to completely factory reset, (happened over 3x's). Next issue was half n' half, any app that needed updating from Google Play could and would cause my phone to restart on its own giving me a SD card error. Battery dies way too quickly, I'm beginning to charge it more and more. Brightness can sometimes suck. I've had this phone since 04/05 of 2015 and its been the biggest disappointing thing ever! Along the biggest waste of $300 I've ever spent. Asus support is and forever terrible. I don't recommend any Asus phone period.

I surely don't recommend this series although they have 4 GB RAM. I am strucked with inverted bootloader hard brick without abbility to flash. My 300$ dolars are lost.

It doesn't make any sense having a removable back and having a plastic rail inside holding the exposed battery. I wish they made the battery removable.
