Got the 551 model with 4/32 after 2 days of using..going crazy with the keyboard that always go to quicksetting mode every few strokes of keyboards...any idea how to disable this nuisance features??? May have to go back using my trusty blackberry z30.

Here I will provide my honest review about the Asus Zenfone 2. I have the ZE 551ML version with 4GB of RAM and 32 GB storage and a 2.3 GHz processor.
Design and build: The design and build are I have to say one of the best at this pricepoint. Although sporting a plastic body it nowhere feels less than a premium handet. The curves and the brush metal finish feels great and it becomes easier to hold the phone. The only thing bugging here is the size of the phone. It is not 72% screen to body ratio and the bezels are bigger than what you get on nexus but again keeping in mind the price point ..its OK. You may have some trouble handling the big phone initially but you will adapt eventually. And for the size you get a bigger screen!!..A delight for people who are big screen fans. The volume buttons are placed on the back but it's acceptable. Power button may pose a problem sometimes when you have to reach all the way up to the top of the large phone. But you can always double tap to wake up or lock the device.
Screen: Nothing much to say here. The screen is good with nice colors and saturation. Nothing feels odd about it. Full HD may consume more battery but also makes the screen super sharp and no eyes in this world can spot pixels on the beautiful display. Nice viewing angles. Sunlight readability is on the lower side but it will not make much of a difference.
Performance : The Best. 4 gigs. Glitches??? Lags???..seem alien words.
Camera: front : Takes very decent pics. One of the things I like here is the large viewing angle. Can very easily cover a whole 10x10 room from one of the corner. In short you will love this selfie cam. Given that statement, it implies that the rear camera is not something you will love. It takes good pictures but some details may be missing. Smudgy edges and some noise present. Colour saturation not comparable with the likes of HTC , Sony , Samsung. But low light mode will baffle everyone because it is something really extraordinary. Even HTC one m8(eye)(13MP) with dual camera couldn't capture that amount of light. Thanks to pixel master. In all the rear camera won't be an issue if you don't consider your phone to be a DSLR. I'm an average photographer and I'm happy with the camera.
Zen UI: It is a beautiful UI with a lot of customizations like the cyanogen ROMs. It is not for someone who wants near stock experience. I personally like the UI and it is really cool to flaunt something different from normal.
Battery: This is the only factor that may stop you from buying this device. I don't know about the performance of the other variants of the ZF2 but this one does not stand upto what it is supposed to. The phone though has a humongous 3000mAh battery but don't know why it is not sufficient. The phone lasts for only 8-9 hours in average use. The battery drains very quickly. Hoping for a software update to fix this or else it is gonna become a headache for life to plug in a charger every now and then. In short the battery is poor. ASUS should look into this. There is some help by the fast charging charger which charges the phone from 0 to 100% in less than two hours.
Price: only lenovo k80 stands a chance here with a larger battery but there are other factors to look upon too. Better priced than One plus and xiaomi.
Network/Connectivity : No problem in this department though nothing remarkable too except dual sim and 4G LTE
Sound : Not so loud. Audio is clear. Better than its predecessor. A little bit on the lower side. Could be better. But not really a deciding factor.
OS: Android lollipop 5.0 feels good on this device but its mostly covered by the Zen UI. The phone should get an immediate update to lollipop 5.0.2 or 5.1 if possible to remove bugs and improve battery performance.
Bottom line : A perfect phone if the battery improves in the near future through updates and bug fixes. Definitely worth the price, even more.
