Just about an year (15 months) ago, I bought this Asus Zenfone 2 with 4gb RAM and 64gb HD for $299. Last week I did accept the system update pushed by ASUS and it did install and while re-booting it just went blank screen and never switched on again. Tried charging overnight and then tried fastboot without any success. It does not even vibrate when power+up volume button pressed. I called Asus customer service and the answer I got was warranty has expired and the estimated cost of repair will be $165. This phone broke soon after the warranty expired. That's all the life of Asus phones??? I lost my trust in Asus products and their system update software. Looking for a much better phone with a reasonable price. Not sure which one to go far. Hope this review helps others in deciding whether to go far Asus mobile phone or not.

Sanjeev, 17 Oct 2016I purchased asus zene2 4 gb ram 32 gb rom from flipkart dur... moreI don't understand why you buy Old model update with the new device and latest OS version.Intel is no more in mobile market and all Intel powered mobile having so many issues.Don't buy Old model buy new devices.In old model consider only Nexus 6 2014,2015,and Samsung Note 5,or iPhone 6 6 Plus or 6s ,6s Plus in low range buy Moto G 3rd or Moto X Play,(Moto G 4 Plus is best Smartphone under 15K) everything in this phone is perfect.All these devices will serves you great.

this phone sucks big time. my camera crashes all the time, battery drains like crazy and gets freakin slow eventually.
Good for nothing.

I'm using Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. After upgraded to Android M, there is Audio jack Connected notification and the phone sound off as if the head set is connected.
Anyone knows how to fix the error ? Please share. Already took the device to Asus service center but according to them, I have to replace the main board and it cost me a lot.

Seems that I'm very lucky because I have any issue with my Zenfone 2... I took the cheaper version with Atom Z2560, 2 GB/16GB. My only complaint is about the camera: don't think that it's very good - just average.

I purchased asus zene2 4 gb ram 32 gb rom from flipkart during latest sale.This is very cheap quality phone. Wi fi missing. They send me replacement but second time product not charged.Totaly dead mobile.So beware of this mobile phone .

Any solution you had gathere... moreAs my asus zenfone 2 4gb version was under warranty, the service centre replaced motherboard as well as lcd panel to get rid of the only problem i faced (i.e. GHOST TOUCHES which were getting more severe day by day) they started around July August period in most of the asus zenfone 2 sets i guess, must be due to some software update.

I was able to get rid of ghost touch of my zenfone 2 ze551ml.
all you need is an electronic lighter.
remove the igniter of it, and use it in a part that has a ghost touch.
you need to enable 'show touch' of your device first.
Hope this would help you.

I have had the 4GB model for over a year now and have been incredibly happy with it. This is my four Android and one of the best (for the money)!
